We got approx 3 weeks til the season starts baby. Cmon Myles, time to go out there and show em what you got.

still needing to "work on those things" concerns me greatly.

Pre-Snap reads is not something that really requires game time exp. That can be done in simulations and practice/scrimmage

All the things he's listed are basically everything you want a QB to do.

If he's struggling with those things, we might be in for a long season

If those are his next steps, what were his first? Learning how to hold and throw a football? Put on his shoulder pads by himself?

A coach needs to motivate the player to keep working, so I'm not that alarmed.
We'll just have to wait and see how it goes against MS St

What the hell else is there?

Hopefully his accuracy is so good he didn't mention that

His pocket presence.

You're either have it or you don't. I'm very concerned about Brennan. He hasn't shown he can slide around in the pocket and buy time. He won't be as elusive as Joe. I've never bought into "all" those things come with experience. That simply isn't true. See the 2011 starting qb's at LSU. Jennings. Harris. Etling was a gamer with limited talent. Brennan has tons more talent to work with. As of right now I think Brennan will be a 2 read and bail guy until proven otherwise.

What QB has all of these things down before they ever started in a game? We got 3 easy SEC games to start the year, I'm sure he'll improve tremendously in that time.

He's shown this a bit at times. Not like Burrow, obviously, but it's there.

My main concern with Brennan is accuracy on deep throws, along with staring down receivers. His highlights from last year showed that on every other throw he was hesitant and was staring the receiver down prior to throwing.

He's a JR, not a freshman. He has played in games. It's not like this stuff is completely new to him. If he needs that much improvement on key things why shouldn't we be concerned?

So what's he excelling at? Catching the snap?

We will see how this year goes, but I don’t know if Myles has the innate confidence needed to excel at the position at the highest level. I’m cheering for the guy, but he needs some big D joe swag. Hopefully that comes with being named the starter and a few tune up games.

Go back and look at every pass in the high lights. Then count hw many passes were beyond 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. That is very concerning to me. He will get hit if he is going to throw deep passes in this offense. Will he stand in there ?

This is not good. Pretty much means he struggles reading coverages, panics under pressure, and throws the ball away. Sounds like we will have some growing pains but the schedule will help him develop.

I’ve been saying this for months....... Myles May end up as a great QB. But he has never taken a meaningful stat while at LSU, much less starting from play one and then taking command of the offense.....we have zero clue how it works out....all I know is that I want at least 50,000 in TS for the first game.......

I have absolutely no evidence to suggest it and I do not believe it will happen, but can you imagine the total nuclear meltdown if Brennan just straight up sucked Anthony Jennings style?

The PAX BURROW on the rant would come to an abrupt end and everything would be back to normal around here with petty squabbles.

Unfortunately Myles will have some unrealistic expectations to live up to because of what Joe did last year. What LSU fans need to remember is past years of QB production and if he can be somewhere in between what Joe was and what others were, this team will win a lot of games. LSU football has always been about great talent at all the positions and the offense, in past years, was never asked to go out and dominate games like it did last year.

I highly doubt he would be Jennings bad.........
