Why not? The flu kills and/or contributes to thousands of deaths a year. There is no 100% effective vaccine and older people are more vulnerable to complications.

This is essentially everything used to justify this ongoing BS, so why does the same logic not apply to the flu? Or the inevitable next "pandemic" that circles the globe?

This episode is the most egregious instance of government overreach in my lifetime. Essentially ONE person, the Goveror, is ARBITRARILY allowed to pick "winners and losers" with respect to business, education, social activities, etc. And the end of this overreach is SOLELY subject to his whim as well.

Please, ANYONE, can you tell me what baseline/data point/metric (other than absolute zero) signifies it is "safe" to return to life as we knew it? NO ONE can answer that question because the fact is that number does not exist. The ending of this gross overreach is solely at the discretion of the Government. Who cares if your business/career is destroyed? Who cares if your children's education and development is significant hindered?
