Can anyone offer any insight into what is going on in region 4? Their icu beds and regular covid beds are constantly high according the ldh slides. Still waiting to be rescheduled for an inpatient surgery. Was told it may be months.

If that presumed recovered is even remotely close we have about 17000 non recovered. That’s .37% of the states population that currently have the virus.
Absolutely insane we still have anything shut down.

It's way less than 17k because you have to subtract deaths, and you need to back date the case # to 8/31 because thats the last date the presumed recovered stat was updated.
I think its something roughly like 8 or 9k, going off memory.

So 41.55% of the Louisiana population has been tested
Many people have taken multiple tests, the actual number is probably much much lower.

You are going to see natural rises in the rates in about 2-3 weeks with schools being back, giving JBE the cover to extend for another month or two.
The bigger factor is Laura. People displaced from their homes, workers coming in from around the country, all mingling together.

Yeah, New Orleans has seen a small uptick. The cases are likely due to the colleges reporting, but the deaths have nudged just a little higher as well.

Yeah it’s 0.195% of the population currently with an active case.

So what percentage is below 18yrs.
And breakup these 14 deaths for me. Age? Location? Traced?

Were you within 6 feet for over 15 minutes not wearing a mask?
That’s the CDC definition of contact.
Will keep my fingers crossed & hope you don’t have it.

Maybe I don’t know that many people but I only know 2-3 people who have actually had it and not many more that were tested. No way they are taking out duplicate test and positives.

its much more likely that you would have it and not even know even at your age and with other medical problems.
