Netflix has cancelled Altered Carbon after two seasons, with no Season 3 to wrap up its story. Per Deadline, Altered Carbon was not cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but as a result of a lack of "viewership vs. cost renewal review process."

The sci-fi series is based on the cyberpunk novels written by English author Richard K. Morgan and adapted for television by showrunner Laeta Kalogridis.

Pretty disappointed with this one. S2 didn't quite live up to the scale of S1 but a conclusion would be nice. How are the books?

super bummed about this one.

S2 felt different than S1, but not in a bad way. It was still good and the ending had me excited to see where it was gonna go.

Honestly, I am Not surprised.

It definitely felt like it lost steam after Season 1, and the change of direction was ok.

I really Enjoyed the mystery/noir aspect of season one that just wasn’t there in season 2.

Season 1 was awesome. Didn't really care for the second season.

I don't even remember what happened in S2. I was just bored the entire time and only half paying attention. S1 was good and worked fine as a stand alone series.

They whole concept lends itself well to being A semi-anthology

Season one just had an awesome Blade Runner feel.

Season 2 had like a weird future messiah/2&3 matrix feel.

It wasn’t bad just not as good. And the dialog was really rough at times.

Still I’m gonna miss Poe. Season one GOAT. Ok Season 2

s1 was cool, though i def felt it was missing something. had all the elements, but was kinda forgettable.

s2 was pretty lame imo.

This saddens me. One of my favorite original series on Netflix is dead

I guess I'm partly responsible. Binged S1 and really enjoyed it, but only got about halfway through the first episode of S2.

I intended to get back into it but haven't yet.

No surprise. You can tell Netflix gave up on the show before S2 when they slashed the budget to a fraction of what S1 got. This was the logical next step.

I still enjoyed S2, but it's obvioys they had a lot less to work with.

Women should not run shows written by men.

Seems like every scene is geared toward some dude losing his shirt

But not really.

20, maybe. . .

I Dream of Jeanie, they couldn't even show belly buttons.

Unless you are talking about softcore porn, or B movies.

You’re under the impression that Hollywood has only been exploiting female sexuality for their movies since....2000?

And I don’t mean to imply it’s necessarily a bad thing. But we’ve been putting boobs in movies since the silent era

Have you watched this show at all? S1 was full of lady nudity including full frontal from the cop lady and kovac’s sister.

Never watched it but have seen some great nude clips on Reddit from season 1.
