"Rumor: Halo Infinite Is Dropping Xbox One Support And Delaying Release Until 2022"

Microsoft needs to sell off their gaming assets to Sega and go full time in the Deep State business.

I read an article that stated the big issues with this game was that they outsourced a lot of the game development because 343 was working on multiple Halo projects and the Showtime series. The outsourced work has proved to be less than stellar and has handicapped development big time.

I find this hard to believe, but Halo is pretty much dead anyway

Ouch, although I get to delay the console purchase and get it cheaper.

That would wreck Xbox yet again this generation.

I was shocked it was going to be on the One in the first place.

The Series X wasn’t going to sell without a Halo and/or Gears exclusive to it.

Honestly what they need to do is unload the brinks truck and acquire bungie. Then combine then have two bungie teams lead by competent videogame leadership and use that to create and maintain two the two IP. They could even use that to spin up a third team that can create new IP that are released on a more traditional timeline since Destiny is a platform and halo is turning that direction.

But the truth of the matter is 343 does not have the knowledge, experience, leadership, etc to produce AAA games. Only other scenario I say is to try and start poaching other developers and team members from other studios the way they did with the initiative. But at this point I dont think there is a person at 343 or Microsoft that has the ability to do this well.
