Why would you “protest” a gas station that had nothing to do with someone being shot and an individual who also had nothing to do with someone being shot?

They say weren't please with how the store handled Pellerin's death. Protesters tell us they felt the store's owner should have closed the store temporarily, or at least let them put flowers on the property.

"Ma'am, this is a gas station."

The cherry on the top would’ve been the old man rolling coal as he pulled into the station.

Or simply rolling coal down the service road right there

I’ve seen some videos from previous protests in lafayette (5+ years ago) where this happened. I think it was the national protest when people were laying down on sidewalks or streets

Was at a friend's house near White Subdivision a few years back and some dude had just robbed a dollar store and was on the run, tried to jump the fence onto the patio next door. Saw people and took off. About 10 minutes later, cops had every side road blocked off. Free entertainment on that end of town.

I remember a similar incident 1 time where an inmate snuck out of UMC while getting treatment. They had that whole area on lock down. Good times

They're protesting the gas station being opened again after the shooting.

They're making a huge deal out of these protests, but when the video panned out you could see like 30 people outside of city hall

I have been here since 1992 and never heard of freetown.

Born and raised here. NO ONE I know ever called it Freetown until the last few years.

Where’d all these dirty hipsters come from? Seems like they’ve exploded the last couple years. I’m willing to sacrifice Judice Inn and Old Tyme if the hipsters leave too.

Just getting back into town. Happy to report that Evangeline was clear of protestors and it was smooth sailing the whole way tonight.

They need Goodyear, Bridgestone, and Cooper logos imprinted on their testicles so they cannot reproduce.
