Before there was Ghost in the Machine and Juicifer, there were some other IPA’s that were rather popular on this board. Which three from the list below would you say were your favorites from that late 2000’s/early 2010’s era?

NOLA Hopitoulas
Ballast Point Sculpin IPA
Russian River Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
Bells Hopslam

I remember Terrapin Hopsecutioner being the first IPA I really enjoyed when I went to Athens for football game. New Belgium Ranger and Stone are some others I remember liking early on.

Why no Dogfish Head or Sierra Nevada?
Those were two earlier frontrunners for IPAs.
Edit: Bell's for me.

Nice
Perhaps it’s nostalgia, but I loved Hopitoulas when it first came out. I would say it’s number 4 on my list. Honorable mention

From that list, mine would be THA, sculpin, and Pliny.
I used to pound Saint Arnold Endeavor and Oskar Blues G'Knight red IPA back in those days.

I used to love this beer.
Now I don't think I would ever buy a red IPA. Crazy how our tastes change.

Palate Wrecker was my favorite WCIPA accessible in Nola.

Yes, but I'd like to try it again for research.
I'd also like to have some fresh Great Divide Titan and Hercules for research. It has been years but I remember the Great Divide IPAs being balanced toward the malty side, but I liked them.

Couldn't and still can't get Pliny around here but it is still a great IPA.

Sierra Nevada popped my cherry and GITM bombers stole my heart.

Chimes East used to have this on tap and I thought it was the best.
Stone IPA is another. Back a six pack recently for old times sake and enjoyed it.

Lagunitas was the first one I liked. I tried it somewhere then bought a mix and match 6 pack of all different IPAs the next day.
