Trump knew it was a scam. The Dems do not arrest their cronies. This is exactly what I want to see happen.

This removes the excuse about how Barr can't indict anybody to "interfere with the election".

I thought Barr was doing Trump's bidding and the DOJ had been hijacked?

I have been on non-profit boards for 20 years and I don't see how spending 5% on the executives and their expenses is out of line. That is a total of $337,000 per executive, including expenses for the past several years. How do you run a non-profit like this one and not spend any money? That would be virtually impossible. This indictment is more than a little bit fishy.

If you tell people the board is 100% volunteer and then funnel money through other non-profits to pay board members, then it’s fraud and money laundering.

It’s not that you can’t pay board members. It’s that you can’t defraud donors by saying you won’t and doing so anyway.

Sounds like they paid themselves salaries when they claimed publicly they would not.

If that’s true, then they’re dead to rights. No excuse for that kind of tomfoolery.

Also, I seriously doubt the Clinton foundation claims the same thing.

Steve Brannon is worth between 50-100 million dollars.

The article said they used some of the money, and then between the four it said hundreds of thousands which they would have qualified if it was a high number, so lets assume $201,000, $50,000 each out of $25m, for a guy that's worth 1000times that....

Ok Karen

KOLFAGE covertly took for his personal use more than $350,000 in funds that donors had given to We Build the Wall, while BANNON, through a non-profit organization under his control (“Non-Profit-1”), received over $1 million from We Build the Wall, at least some of which BANNON used to cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in BANNON’s personal expenses. To conceal the payments to KOLFAGE from We Build the Wall, KOLFAGE, BANNON, BADOLATO, and SHEA devised a scheme to route those payments from We Build the Wall to KOLFAGE indirectly through Non-Profit-1 and a shell company under SHEA’s control, among other avenues.

So prosecute their asses... but those are some rookie fricking numbers compared to some other non-profit scams that have not even been investigated...

It's challenging to keep up with Trump's fast-growing swamp, and now tweeting his distancing from Bannon after saying in June Bannon is doing a great job for him. Maybe he can get QAnon to create some new distractions.

This is pure fake news. We all know when it comes to Trump, everyone associated with Trump, etc. They are great human beings who care about the people more than themselves.

This. There are so many ways to do effectively the same thing legal. This is lazy more than anything.

This reeks of horseshite.

Almost all charities have paid employees. If only 5 percent went to overhead, It’s doing better than most.

If you rep that 100% of donated funds go to building a wall, but you siphon off a portion to your personal account...what is that called? Is it legal?

Regardless of political party, it's time that all these foundations and tax exempt entities get cracked down on.

Now that they've gone after Bannon, they should start going after guys in the NBA and NFL.

Warrick Dunn might be the only NFL player in history with a charity that actually functions as a charity.
