A child in my daughters class has tested positive. So she’ll be home for 14 days. Just when things looked like they were getting back to normalcy.

The school nurse called my wife. She said the way the nurse was setting up she thought our daughter was seriously injured or something tragic had happened. When the nurse finally gave her the news my wife let out a resounding “well, shite”

I'd say a few words to the nurse if the nurse did frame it like something was seriously wrong.

Yeah I'd be fricking pissed. I'm already stressed enough when I see a call from daycare

The whole class has to stay home for 14 days? That sucks

Our school is just a one day deep clean after a positive test

Wait... so another child tested positive... and your child has to stay home for 14 days? Is she symptomatic? Anything at all?

That's not the point.
Now he has to stay at home with the kid for two weeks and if both parents are working, that's not ideal on short notice.
That policy is ridiculous

In Lafayette it would be only kids who were within 6 ft for more than 15 minutes.

And people want to send their little covid carriers back to school to infect teachers. We all know that teachers, especially teachers of size, have the largest hearts of anyone and trump is literally killing them by forcing us to work

All it takes is some sun by the pool (Vit D), zinc, dose of bleach internally and Primetine Mist. Cured.

At my kids school, each student is part of a 4 student pod within the classroom.....this pod is spaced 6 feet from other pods.

If there is a positive test, only that pod quarantines.
