1986 TAMU at Kyle Field. I had just graduated and was living in Houston. Went to the game with a bunch of TAMU alums. TAMU was ranked in top 10, but LSU not at all.
Before the game, got into a "discussion" with a Corps guy about not sleeping on my Tigers. LSU pulled off a miracle and won that game! Saw the same Corps guy after the game at a bar, and I ripped on him!
One of my worst hangovers the next day, though...

vs Ole Miss 2014
LSU knocked off undefeated, #3 ranked Ole Miss 10-7. Freeze elected not to attempt the game-tying FG and instead, Beau Wallace threw a pick to end the game. That game felt like it was in some bizzaro world with LSU being lower ranked (if at all) and trying to spoil Ole Miss’ national title run.

That was a great one, one year to the day after my dad passed. Watching Oregon fans cry was a delight. Me to my shocked and embarrassed uncle “look at that guy fricking crying!”

this one was it for me! I have this same picture in an old phone somewhere from the other side. Dead offense and Honey Badger explodes for a punt return while we were down. We end up winning by like 30+ with less than 100 yards passing.

LSU-ND 1971. Unbelievable goal-line stands right in front of me.
LSU-Ole Miss 1972. Extra seconds. Amazing!. I sat next to Bert in a class that year.
Best I watched (on TV): LSU-Arkansas 1966. Made me an LSU fan. Rest are gravy.

Since my first game in TS in 1949 I've attended many great LSU games there and on the road, most of which have been mentioned elsewhere in this thread. My all-time favorite was the 1961 Ole Miss game, my sophomore year at LSU.
Ole Miss was loaded that season and came into the game ranked #2 with a 6-0 record (4 of the wins were shutouts). Because of the opening game loss to Rice LSU was ranked #6. Earlier the day of the game, #1 Michigan State lost, so if Ole Miss took care of business against the Tigers they were assured the #1 ranking.
Both defenses dominated, but the Tigers capitalized on breaks and despite completing only one pass (a 4th and 5 situation which kept a scoring drive alive) managed a 10-7 win.

quote:i was 13, me & a couple of friends were camping out in his parents back yard. going in & out of the house checking the score, but we were in the tent & all of a sudden we heard screaming & yelling from a few houses down, scared the shite out of us, we ran inside, & realized lsu had just scored, we watched the rest & went back in the tent
Is this the thread where 300,000 people claim to have been at the Earthquake Game? Know where I was during that game?

2008 Super Regional vs. UC Irvine, game 2. Second-to-last game at the old Box.
I’ve been going to LSU football, baseball, and basketball games since the late 80s and that is the best game I’ve ever attended. LSU down to their last strike in the Original Alex Box and they come back and then beat the hell of of UCI the next day to send out The Box in style and advance to Omaha.
The atmosphere and feeling in the air that day I will never forget. I knew there was no way LSU was losing. That old Alex Box magic ensured it.

Ironically a day game but the best of many great atmospheres I’ve seen at Tiger Stadium
The game that spawned every other big game since, as well as set the standard imo
