I mean it doesn’t help that we have 4 huge games in a row. We didn’t start our A squad and when they parked the bus it was too late. Gotta just hope to win out

I'm not quite there yet. I think the re-match against Leicester will tell us a lot about this team. A spirited and decisive win will set us up well to finish strong against Villa and go into the CL final with confidence.
I'm just hoping that Kovacic is ready to roll. Christian must also be in the starting lineup. Mendy should not leave the pitch for the remainder of the season.

this is whats really fricking my shite up. I get TTs reasons for playing Kepa, theyre just incredibly stupid. He was handed participation trophy starts, in two huge games, at the expense of giving the team the best chance to win. not even too critical of kepa, not sure he did a lot wrong the past two games, but wtf.
is there better communication or composure in the buildup before Jorginho's awful pass? Does Mendy get a hand a Youri's shot? i think both are likely. i mean, the goal today was the kindof of thundercount we got used to seeing go in the past couple years, and then they disappear once Mendy arrives.

What I'm hoping is he clearly prioritized the league over the cup and started a lesser team than will be on the field on Tuesday.
I'm hoping that's the case.

he prioritized the Cup over the arsenal game, thats for sure.

F that, there were 5 games left in the season and outside of Mount who is a machine anyway and unfortunately Werner everyone else has had plenty of rest throughout the season. The only priority should have been winning every game.

He mismanaged this whole week

I think we underestimated Arsenal.
Well we estimated them, we just didn’t estimate scoring for them in our goal.

Still control our destiny. Two more PL wins and we are top four lock. Or, beat City and we’re back in the ECL next year. F it, do both and leave no doubt. But Kepa should not see the pitch against this season- even if the losses weren’t his fault, this team does not have the same confidence while he’s between the posts.

Oh, and sell Jorginho today.

How do y’all feel about Pulisic not starting the FA cup final?

asking a player, who has muscles made of wet paper, to play significant minutes after putting in over 200 the previous week seems like maybe a bad idea. in hindsight, sure, he probably would have helped. we'll see what happens tuesday.
there were other selections that were more concerning imo.

Tuesday is everything after what Allison did for Liverpool a minute ago. Unbelievable.

pretty bummed dortmund slipped into the UCL. the striker carousel would have been insane. Kane has to be going to Citeh, Mbappe to RM, and Haaland might have fallen to us. hard to see barca or bayern munich being big players for a striker this year, and united seem dead set on finally getting Sancho.

Haaland would be great but I won’t hold my breath.
Mendy, James, Thiago, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Werner, Pulisic.
Strongest lineup except for Kovacic in place of Jorginho. Havertz picked up a nick in training and is out today.

How we don't have 5+ goals in this 1st half is just frustrating to no end.
