In short, everyone is getting panty-bunched over something that is being misreported ... just like last Fall

You are the one crapping all over this thread you imbecilic troll. To paraphrase your avatar, I know that you know that I know that you are a troll.

For the record, nothing is being “misreported.” This mother has indicated repeatedly in court that she seeks to mutilate this poor child.

This is the correct answer. Time I’d be willing to serve for my son.

Yes, she has.

I am sure you see this as being somehow relevant to something I posted or perhaps that I posted something contrary. It isn’t, and I didn’t. To the contrary, I specifically opined AGAINST “transition” of a pre-pubescent child.

Your post is actually cute, in a “Kid trying to speak at the adult table” sort of way. You know, when the kid needs to chime-in, despite not having understood anything that was just discussed.

As a 30-year lawyer with more than 20 years experience with family law, I have provided some context that most laypersons just do not have.

By contrast, you have provided uninformed outrage about a ruling that was PROBABLY agreed by the parties and the details of which are probably being misreported.

To paraphrase a great American philosopher, “I am sorry I ruined your outraged, uninformed martyrdom party.“

It is wholly relevant to the conversation since this latest court ruling opens the door for the mother to follow through with her deranged plans. Anything else you discuss is windbaggery on your part.

What's the current rate for a hit on a judge? What a scumbag and degenerate.

Again, you demonstrate that you have exactly ZERO idea what you are talking about.

We have not seen the Order, so we have no idea whether the JMC order has been replaced OR (as is FAR more likely) this is simply the judge resolving a comparatively-minor dispute about appointment of a counselor.

I have simply explained that the OP's representation of recent events (as reported by a noted Twitter troll) is almost certainly erroneous.

But please DO continue ranting and raving about something that almost certainly did NOT happen.

Question...

bottom line... at this present time, is this woman actually being allowed to mutilate her child or not?

Yes or no?

I've read this entire thread.... and still can't really tell.

Unless I missed something, according to the story, the $5,000 is the cost of counseling services:
quote:

The “Save James” Facebook page, run by individuals who support Mr. Younger’s cause, claims counseling will cost Mr. Younger $5,000 a month
That said, $5,000 a month is outrageous for counseling, so I’m a bit skeptical of that amount.

I'd put all my equity into the childs name in a treist and kill that bitch before she ever saw a penny.

we do not know with 100% certainty, because the gag order from last Fall is still in place.

More than twenty years of experience and a few extrapolations based upon that experience tell me “no.” The judge likely did nothing more than order counseling for the two boys and name a family counselor.

Because that was done without hearing, it was almost certainly an agreed temporary order until a hearing next month.

This appears to be correct

What is “twice the amount that qualifies as outrageous?”

Judges order counseling in tough divorces all the time, and I have NEVER seen a $10k retainer for counseling. I have seldom seen any retainer at all.

Thanks!

Also... you either get up really early for a Saturday or stay up REALLY late.

Without insurance you would have to be going every day including saturdays and Sunday’s .

With insurance 3x a day.

this is an amount far in excess of what I believe to be reasonable, but…

$250 per hour is at the high end, but not crazy as an hourly rate.

If the counselor wants to spend the first month doing individual sessions, in addition to a single group session, each week… You are talking five sessions per week and four weeks. That is 20 sessions. 20 sessions at $250 an hour is $5000.

Again, that is more counseling than I think is really necessary. Plus, dad should only be responsible for half of that.
