Use it wisely, don't waste any. If you feel you need practice, be smart about it.

Too late for me. Was recently involved in a tragic and unfortunate boating accident where I lost everything. Damn shame.

For those that just bought a gun and dont know how to use it. Please put all that ammo in ammo cans, itll be easier for me to carry when I come take it.

This post would be sexier if you post your theory.

I’ll just go ahead and say it:

If Trump wins the election, there is going to be some sort of civilian urban warfare beyond what we’re seeing now. I’m talking about civilians fighting back rather than just sitting back and taking it.

It could even bleed into the suburban areas.

Ammo and guns will be very precious commodities

Planned on going to the range next week to sight in my hunting rifles. Was going to bring some others to play around with, but I'm kinda wanting to hold on the ammo that I have.

You can find ammo, just have to look

shite’s overpriced right now, but I stocked up anyway. 1500 rds of 9mm FMJ and two cases of 12 gauge bird shot. Plenty of ammo for my wife’s 22LR Colt for target practice so we’ll be ready.

I just bought a new gun safe yesterday because theft/break ins is increasingly drastically in my area.

Guns, cash, and jewelry are now safe in my home

I really would like to see liberals try to take guns.. First of all there is the pesky thing called the Constitution.. "right to bear arms shall not be infringed".

Also, I live in a gun sanctuary county, all guns are safe here.. Sheriff said he wouldn't enforce a gun grab..

Dry fire is great practice

quote:

I have seen a lot of bullshite posted in this thread but this right here tops them, especially when it comes to proficiency...

NOTHING replaces training with live ammo...

He said not REQUIRED. You can do up drills with a barrel mounted laser, mags changes, etc without ever firing live rounds. Obviously live practice is better but would you not rather firing Than doing nothing? Does that also mean he need to actually get shot at with live rounds to simulate actual combat?

My gun enthusiast friend says the problem is not ammo in general. The shortage is in certain calibers and even the 'types' of ammo within the same caliber. I didn't ask him to explain because he tends to be boring.

Buy ammo when you can, not when you are low or planning to use it. You don’t have to walk it, water it, or talk nice to it. In fact put it in vaccusealed bag in a climate controlled area and it will last decades.
