There are secret service at the White House for sure, but there are also Marines. My cousin used to be one, and he would travel with President Obama on foreign visits. I just looked it up and apparently there aren’t a ton of marines that do that, so maybe the guys up top are SS.

Yeah, I was confused because my cousin who is a marine used to be security at the White House, but apparently that is a small group. I guess most is SS.
ETA: he was a sniper, so I just assumed he was posted up on the roof, but maybe not.

yeah no doubt, Marines are the guys that take him to and from Air Force one and provide extra security when he traves.
Hence the helo's are Marine 1 and Marine 2...they both fit into Air Force 1 and Air Force 2
ETA: Marine One and Marine Two are transported by separate aircrafts than AF One

My childhood neighbor is a Marine. Back in 2006 he was Dick Cheney's Aid and went EVERYWHERE with him. He had some classified job that was pretty important to national security he told us over UNO one night when he visited.
I am very proud to have grown up with and played backyard ball with a man like him.
