I voted for him and support a lot of his policies but when this Virus showed up, he turned into a complete idiot!!!
Didn't that "idiot" ban flights to and from China before we knew the virus was here and people called it a complete overreaction and said he was a racist/bigot for doing so? Didn't that prevent much faster spread on a wider scale and likely save many lives?
Didn't Dr. Faucci say in January that this was "very very low risk" to people in America? Didn't Dr. Faucci laugh and say that masks were unnecessary in March (along with the World Health Organization)? Seems like you're blaming Donald Trump for a lot of stuff when America isn't even in the top 5 of deaths per capita for countries and none of the health experts seemed to help because they didn't know anything about this virus either.

Sweden did not lock down at all, and they now believe that they are finished with the virus due to herd immunity. The lockdown was intended to flatten the curve to give hospitals a chance to prepare. Lockdowns can flatten the curve, however that actually extends the time it takes for the virus to sweep thru the population. Masks are certainly beneficial in certain circumstances, but the virus goes right thru the mask, as every scientific study has confirmed. Masks are more effective against bacteria, because bacteria are larger.

There are numerous studies, which even the World Health organization In their June 5th guidance memo has cited.
The Emerging Infectious Disease journal (CDC's Journal) also cited similar evidence, which is the real reason that Fauci and others stated that masks would not stop the spread. Masks can prevent spread of virus in respiratory droplets, but they are ineffective when the virus is aerosolized.

Show them please.
I work in healthcare and I've never heard of it 'going right through the mask' in any meetings I've attended.
I'm not trying to be rude but show some reputable, recent links that what you're saying is indeed true.

I agree, he is in the majority of the ESPN/College Football sports journalist who are doing all they can to make sure it doesn't happen and in their mind they are saving lives and doing a noble thing, or else they are just being mindless sheep following the herd and staying in good graces...either way it's a flawed narrative but it's run wild.
I was actually shocked to turn on my radio about 8:30 yesterday morning and there were two ESPN radio reporters who were actually coming out for college football to hold fast and play. First one of that genre I've ever heard do that or even close. It was a guy and a girl, the guy was the leader on it and the gal may have been agreeing just because he came out so strong, but they both voiced they thought they should play.

He wrote an article on SI about possible heart damage in Covid cases that was poorly referenced and quite honestly nothing more than fear porn
Did he posit in his article a theory on why the long-time possible heart damage would apparently be worse if COVID is contracted wearing a football uniform rather than blue jeans or shorts?

Fauci on 60 minutes. I'd have to find it, but there is a video of Fauci stating exactly what the mask is. It's a placebo. It's purpose is to make people feel good. He even said, "yeah it may stop a few droplets, but in the end, it is not a proper safe guard against infectious diseases.".

If the season is cancelled most football players will drop out of school. What is the point of going to class if they can't practice and play? After all, they (most) are not in school for an education!!!!!!!!!!!

bullshite. Him and his other liberal Cronies only present one side of things. The fear and panic side. They don't question anything or even acknowledge the mounds of data showing how little risk is actually involved in these boys playing football.

Yeah he went into detail about it, plenty of links to studies and quotes from experts.
Jk he didn’t do any of that

A lot of athletic departments are gonna need bailouts.
Then they need to stop existing. Or at least in Louisiana, we need to contract the number of universities (athletic departments included). If that's one casualty of this bullshite 'epidemic' then so be it.

I did give you examples from the CDC and the admission from WHO (even though they are recommending the masks).
Also report in the NEJM that the airborne coronavirus particle (which is less than 0.125 microns) will pass directly through a mask. However, if you re a healthcare worker where sick patients may be coughing on you and the virus is contained in respiratory droplets, that is a situation where you should wear a mask

I agree 100%. Why the hell should I subsidize an athletic department at ULL? or ULM? or Northwestern LA or Grambling? or Southern?
Buddy Roemer, former Governor had this correct when he tried to consolidate all the Non-LSU boards into One board and downsize several 4-year colleges back to 2 year schools that offer only associate degrees and streamline course offerings at all State schools not LSU, which is the Public R1 Flagship University of the state.
That was boldest Reform effort I have seen in my lifetime and the LA voters ran him out of office for it. The State legislature had a chance back then to vote his Higher Education reforms in and back him, rather they fought him and worked to get him out of office.
Now rather than close down some of those 4-year schools and downsize their Degree Programs, we now 30 years later still have all those 4 year Schools + a 2 year JUCO system.
Let the Market Forces take hold, if several Universities in the state close down or get downsize and some athletic departments, so be it.
