Geneva and Batavia along the Fox River west of Chicago are actually pretty quaint.

I'll add Mentone, AL as a quaint little place that is rarely visited or known. Mooresville as well.

Oak Grove MS
As a former oak grove resident I can tell you there isn't much charm to it unless you're really into chain restaurants and strip malls. Downtown Hattiesburg has a lot more going for it.
I got off the interstate recently and drove through Laurel, MS. I was shocked how pretty it was.

Carmel California is goat. Highs in the 60s year round, Lows in the 40s & 50s. It’s basically perfect fall weather every day. Oh, and it’s gorgeous
Temps often get in the 70’s in the fall. Still, the weather is perfect. But someone asked about swimming if the high is in the 60’s.

Paso Robles, CA
It was dirt poor agriculture town that time passed by, until they found out that they have the same cool evening breeze to grow grapes like Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

Haven’t read the thread, but Jefferson, Texas is charming and quaint. And it’s got ghosts, too.

Lived there in the 70s. I’m sure it’s changed a lot since then but was a quaint little town.
