The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control has already suspended the operating licenses of four businesses that were found to have repeatedly violated the restrictions, officials announced last week. Another 14 businesses have failed two inspections, according to records from the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.

& let’s not forget JBE is threatening businesses with a 30% payroll tax to cover unemployment

If the Fire Marshall doesn’t kill a business the taxes will

I can't fathom calling in to report a small business. You have to be a huge PoS to do that.

The same kind of people who ride around trying to get rear ended so they can call Morris Bart.

IDK what to even say or think anymore. I hate every single bit of this. The virus. The numbers. The masks. The deaths.

EVERY. BIT.

Oh and if the masks work, how the F are people still getting this????? (My example is the mayor of Oxford, MS has tested positive and she is the ultimate Karen of mask wearing.)

IDk but there is one place in our area where I'll never name that isn't following squat other than servers wearing masks and I'm ok with that. I go out = I take the risk. Putting a mask on to walk to a table only to take it off does NOTHING.

Nearly 700 restaurants, bars and businesses in Louisiana were cited in July for violating the governor’s coronavirus restrictions ... The businesses, which include 21 in Baton Rouge

Seems statistically off. Where were the bulk of these?

I'd love to see the list.

We were visited by the Fire Marshal, who gave us a warning because we weren't wearing our masks. It was only my and my wife in our store. We have them JIC and a sign saying, "By order of Governor John Bel Edwards a mask must be worn to enter premises." for CYA.

Pretty scary something like this could shut down a small business that's been operating and contributing to the local community for over 30 years.

Did they say if there was a complaint or are they just randomly checking businesses?

"Randomly checking". Pretty sure someone complained because someone always calls when we get busy and someone parks in the handicap or barely in the street. The food truck next to us always gets complaints too. We have an unknown Karen.
