I hear Greenville is a nice quiet town on the Mississippi River. Probably not much to do there, but I’m sure you’ll make the most of it.

NWA is very pretty. You get four definite seasons which I’ve missed since I moved back to central Arkansas. If you’re from the Deep South you’ll probably be caught off guard the first time it’s like 12 degrees every night for a week straight.

Summers in NWA are nowhere near Like the rest of the state and most of the south. Yes, they're still hot, but not sweltering jungle sweat hot.

Serious question. Are you poor? Do you plan to remain poor forever? If not, why would you consider a move to a place that is going to levy state income tax on you, when you could move somewhere that won't?
Anyway, here is what is going on in Greenville if you are into that sort of thing. The most exclusive gated community in town is under fire for fraud and a pedophilia ring being run out of a local high school girl's soccer team. People are sweating bullets in these parts.

Love NWA but that is a drawback. Greenville is 100 miles from Charlotte-Douglas and 150 miles from Hartsfield.

No, we aren't poor. Upper middle to maybe lower upper class income. We pay a state tax now.
All states are going to get their money to a certain degree. Their collection methods just vary.

Greenville is my choice. As a matter of fact, I just came home from a mountain vacation up in the NC mountains. It was wonderful up there. I hiked the Appalachian trail and swam in the French Broad river several times while I was up there.

The real drawback is that the airport is in the fricking sticks. I have no idea how they picked that location. Arkansas isn’t that crowded. They could have picked one of the many farms you drive by on the way to the airport I would think. The way NWA is growing I’m guessing there will be a major expansion before too long anyways.

I traveled for work for a decade and have been in some extremely cold climates during the winter like Fairbanks. It doesn't bother me that much. My wife wouldn't love temps in the 20s but having a nice spring and fall would make up for it I think.

I can give an opinion on Birmingham. Not from here, and I have grown to like it. Burb public schools are some of the best in the country. Weather is nice, and we have all 4 seasons. Fiber internet. The economy is great. It may be too many people though. The weird way the government classified the metro only has 1.1 m people. But there is actually closer to 1.6 million people in Central AL. Close to the beach and mountains. I love the airport. I can get anywhere and no lines compared to Atl and Houston.

It absolutely makes up for it. And I won’t say it’s impossible by any means but for some reason NWA has far less encounters with major tornados than practically every other area In that part of the country.

I do wear my LSU gear occasionally. I have two degrees from there and have been a lifelong fan. I'm not obnoxious about it though.
