I'm married to an Alabama girl and I get along fine with her family, most of them at least. Her parents thought I'd have a coonass accent the first time they met me. I'm from Central but it's all South Louisiana to them.

Was linked here from a video game message board during a college football discussion. Lurked during CFB season from about 2007 onward until I made an account a few years later. Didn't really start posting on the OT until I got a new job a little more than a year ago and discovered that this is the only message board that I post on that isn't blocked on my company's network.

It was the LSU home and home series with Washington that finally pushed me to the point to register an account. I was a lurker of this site long before that.

I was recruited by Chicken.
Seriously, I was on another forum since it's inception, Florida Sportsman. That place rocked for years. They had a politics section that was removed the day before the 2016 election. That forum was 90% Conservative, but most of the admins were far left ideologues. This always caused a lot of friction, so they removed it to silence the majority. That entire site was an exercise in how not to run a forum. It's mere shadow of itself now.
There was a thread there about other forums and TD was one of the recommended forums.

Worked with some Baws from LSU 2004-2007 timeframe. Lurked for years, finally jumped in and it was all down hill from there.
