Expect the schedule deck to be entirely reshuffled.

Mathematically it would not work to simply plug the two new opponents into slots on the calendar. Perhaps traditional slots will be preserved (Bama-UT, UF-UGA, LSU-Bama, Iron Bowl, Egg Bowl), but overall they're gonna have to move a LOT of pieces.
I am all for this. I don't like Ole Miss at home on September 26.

Why not? O vs Kiffin back in the SEC will be must see TV

I agree. I think I counted six SEC games scheduled before Sept. 26. I guess they could slap them at the end of the season, but there will likely be gaps and problems with open dates. It's a shell game that affects all teams' schedules once you start moving games.

I agree.
When I read the "strength of schedule" comment, I thought that they would try to reshuffle the entire schedule by trying to give all teams a similar strength of schedule based on last year's results.
Obviously, that would not be perfect, but it seems like the entire schedule would need to be redone if there is any possibility of that happening.
The one thing I did wonder about is would they keep the same East and West alignments? Or, would they simply take the top 2 teams after a reshuffling of the schedule that did not take into effect the East v. West alignment, e.g., we wouldn't necessarily play both Auburn and Alabama just because they are both in the West?

Certainly, Alabama will retain their bye week before having to play us.

In every way possible I want my life back. I'm taking Os own words here. I will watch them play at midnight in a pasture. Just put it on TV. Don't care who it is, don't care when it is, just give me my life back.

It will be interesting to see how much the schedule makers manipulate the schedule to accommodate Alabama. Look for them to get Vandy before Auburn and open dates prior to LSU and Georgia, and Arkansas prior to Texas A & M.
Meanwhile LSU gets Tennessee before Florida, A&M, Auburn and Kentucky back to back with open dates prior to Vandy and South Carolina.

I already made a schedule for the whole SEC that works and is fair

Would benefit LSU given our November schedule for this year. I don't have any problem opening with Ole Miss though. The talent disparity is massive.

Let's drive a stake in Saban and beat him twice this year

This entire conference is predicated on the Alabama schools getting what they want. Bama/UT and Au/Uga.
frick them. Flip a coin and schedule fair and square.

For you children that don't know, LSU v Old Ms should always be on the Halloween weekend. End of lesson.

GREAT chance to undo the permanent rivalry BS.
Instead, an Alabama alum will give us another fricking bridge schedule

expect the chairs on the deck of the Titanic to be reshuffled many more times

I'd be much more comfortable getting Auburn back near the front of the schedule to break up the late season gauntlet.
