All Washington, D.C., public schools will begin the year virtually on Aug. 31 until at least Nov. 6, Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office announced Thursday.

quote:

Bowser seemed to allude to the union's unwillingness to return to the classroom as a factor in the district’s decision to return virtually.

You know, I’m just going to speak candidly, if we don’t have teachers who want to come in person, we would have to find another set of adults who want to come in person,” Bowser said, according to WTOP.

The teacher hate on here is pathetic and embarrassing. Teaching and education are incredible blessings and gifts.

It’s a shame neither seem to be respected or appreciated these days. Too many people obsessed with the almighty dollar, judging what they don’t know or understand, and just being rude.

So incredible............that TEACHERS..........remember........TEACHERS are saying that about 25% of this "incredible blessing and gift" can be handed over to parents to do.

Shut up

We lag WAY behind most every first world countries(and some scantly developed) and teachers think they should be given not only a raise, but eternal praise.

Maybe you’d like to explain the abysmal failure of education systems all over this country. It’s all backed up by statistics that I’m sure you’re aware of. If the “educators” aren’t to blame then who is?

So all you have to be to replace a teacher is an adult?

Yep, that's why schools need to be open.

Education is a gift...teacher unions are a barrier to getting that gift.

It’s ok for teachers to care about money but how dare anyone else?

Well

According to teachers basically any adult to replace about 25% of their work right now to include your average ghetto Welfare Queen. Just saying

I love a good teacher.

Those are the true blessings and gifts. All these teachers wanting to not go back in the classroom...seemingly ever...do not qualify.
