North. You are right by Playa Norte and Hidalgo Street.

Has anyone played golf in Cancun and if so, where, and did you bring your clubs?

Going in October, just booked it yesterday. Will revert to this board if I hear anything re: COVID or otherwise.

HGG - I know you go to IM a decent amount, but are you not worried about Playa Norte being closed down? I know there's other beaches but they pale in comparison. Where are y'all staying if you don't mind me asking?

Some people just like to downvote. I get it on the food board all the time.

Going in November for the 2nd time. Keep the updates coming please. Would like to go just chill on the beach, eat great food, and drink cold beer.

we stay at Na Balam right there on playa Norte. A lot of the beach goers in that area come from Cancun on these fancy boats and like to hang out there because of the shallow water and no current. But if that’s closed, I’m hoping we will have to beach to ourselves, but of course we will certainly cancel if that is the case, the end of October

Gotcha. We stayed there our first trip, stayed across the bridge at Mia Reef, and then 'roughed it' at Villa Kiin on our last trip.

I just don't understand what it means when everyone says Playa Norte is closed. What about all the hotels, like Na Balam, that are open and literally on Playa Norte? They tell their guests they can't walk out their hotel rooms and on to the beach?

Can anyone tell me anything about Privilege Alexus? Is this a good place to stay?

Guests can chill at beach in front of property, they will give you a wristband

We’ve stayed at villa kin. Most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Walls were thin, heard the neighbors fricking a few times

Exactly, LOL. The allure of the location is undeniable but the rooms and everything in them are so outdated. We were never in the room unless we were sleeping. We stayed 5 nights and my bill was $440. That was amazing.

Hotel Secreto.

The staff will cater to your every whim. Tell Victor what you feel like having for lunch and he'll get on his scooter and get it for you. Secreto has a small private beach and a pool. You cannot swim in the water on that side but it's private.

Just booked for April 10-17. Hoping covid has chilled a little by then with the vaccine but all should be good to go.

We have a trip booked for Mardi Gras too. Y’all are going despite this cdc deal requiring a negative test within 72 hours in order to fly back to US? I still want to go but wife is on the fence now.

I think excellence is in Playa Mujeres, which is different from Isla Mujeres
