Are schools legally obligated to share with media, fans, etc if current players have Covid? I think it’s best they keep that information in house

Again, it's not about how many get sick because anyone with a lick of sense knew you weren't going to completely avoid it. It's how the schools and the conferences deal with it once it hits their program.

Very confusing. Heading says “HAVE”. First line of the article says “HAD”. Which is it? Did they Have it and have healed up or do they currently have it?

If they have then the whole team would be in quarantine. Should be HAD.

I’m guessing from the 30 or so in quarantine, they continued to test the quarantined players and currently there are only 2 who have yet to test negative and return to the team. I’ve seen stories of people continuing to test positive for 3 to 4 weeks even after symptoms go away.

The 30 who tested positive over the summer had flu - like symptoms. i.e. not serious.

Have them sneeze in the gator aid container and just get it over with for the whole team

healed up

They didn't have to "heal up". 50% have no symptoms overall. Among young, physically fit athletes, please , less than 1%. No "healing up" needed.

I believe they are obligated to inform the SEC of the number of positive cases but are restricted from identifying them for HIPPA reasons.

That could be erroneous but something like that was discussed here recently.

They did not have 30 test positive. They had 30 in quarantine at one time earlier in the summer. I think the number was nine cases.

No, but they are legally prevented from sharing their names.
