A few times each week, reporters sit in the White House briefing room to fire questions at the Trump administration's press secretary as she stands at a podium to respond.

That visual, however, may be the only part of a time-honored government tradition that is familiar.

Under Kayleigh McEnany, the White House press briefing has become a streamlined, full-throated advertisement for a president facing re-election, a venue for attacks on the media and a forum relatively light on information about what government is doing.

ABC News' Jonathan Karl, whose term as White House Correspondents' Association president just ended, wrote in The Washington Post this month that he believed it is the White House press secretary's duty to hold briefings regularly, "but not like this."

I remember when they would regularly state the number of days since Sarah Sanders held one of their precious presser, and they wanted them back.

Be careful what you wish for..

The MSM created this environment. Attack, attack, then fake news. With the unprofessionalism in that room, what did they expect??? You created this, Jonathan. Enjoy.

MSM: Trump is doing a bad job and here's why.

Trump: I think I'm doing a good job and here's why.

MSM: Well he's clearly trying to promote himself because he's up for re-election. I wish he would stop being political.

What else is unfamiliar is the lack of decorum and seriousness that is exhibited by the press corps, who, it appears, is not interested in getting answers to real questions as much as it is wanting to trap the administration in order to make Trump look bad.

It is a night and day difference between how the media treats Trump and how they treated Obama.

When he doesn’t have briefings “he’s hiding”
When he has briefings “he’s making it political”

The media being a propaganda device has the freedom to be hypocritical and make conflicting statements 100% of the time.

Obama could have drunkenly wandered out into the briefing room, urinated on a potted plant, burped “Camp-Town-Races” and fallen off the stage while hitting the floor face-first — and the MSM would genuflect and say he fell with such grace and polish.

Some are concerned that the MSM is now the propaganda wing of the PRC/Marxist Democrat-Anarchists and Black Supremacists.
