Way to go OT you are minimizing the seriousness of the COVID-19 situation in LA.

For anyone out there minimizing the seriousness of the current COVID-19 situation across the state and deliberately spreading misinformation, you are doing yourself, your neighbor and Louisiana a terrible disservice. (1/8) #lagov #lalege

A positive COVID-19 case reported to the state refers to a specific individual, whether they tested positive once, twice or however many times.
One case = one person.
It is grossly irresponsible to suggest or imply that the state is inflating numbers. (2/8) #lagov #lalege

COVID-19 is going to show up in testing first, hospitalizations second and deaths third. There’s no way the hospitalizations are going up and the deaths are going up and the cases aren't going up with them—it just doesn’t make sense. (3/8) #lagov #lalege

We’ve put in multiple redundant systems to scrub the data and to make sure it is accurate and timely. And we are sharing it with the public in a way that we can be as transparent as possible. (4/8) #lagov #lalege

Even if for some strange reason, which is totally incomprehensible to me, you don’t care about COVID-19, you should care about hospital capacity when you have an automobile accident or need a life-saving procedure. (5/8) #lagov #lalege
quote:
This is a statewide epidemic now, and the increase in hospitalizations across the state is alarming. We're especially concerned about Acadiana, Central and Southwest Louisiana.
Every health care system in every region is being affected by this surge. (6/8) #lagov #lalege

COVID-19 is very prevalent throughout our state, and it is more widespread than ever before. We are at a critical point, which is why everyone needs to take this virus seriously and continue all of the mitigation measures that we know will slow the spread. (7/8) #lagov #lalege

Those minimizing the current COVID-19 situation in Louisiana are a small minority, and I want to commend the vast majority of Louisianans for doing their part to stay informed and stop the spread. (8/8) #lagov #lalege
figured you baws would like it his twitter thread

What about people that get in line to get tested, never get tested, and then get a letter saying they are positive?
Posted on 7/24/20 at 11:01 am to thadcastle
If his numbers are the same come August 7th you can pretty much guarantee he will drop the hammer on all of the restrictions. He's itching to do the shite.

What about governors who hold press conferences claiming a %positive number thats grossly incorrect?

I wonder when this policy took effect? This morning?

JBE is upset that Louisiana residents are smartening up to their numbers game.

The next major protest should be right outside the gates of his home.

Except for the daily numbers that LDH has to sift through to take out the duplicates.

Sounds like ole Jayce is still lurking the board

Dude is threatening to go back to stage 1 and even lockdown again. And he’ll do it, and y’all will continue to bitch about it and not cooperate anyway. Sounds like it’s on the residents not listening to rules more than anything. The Louisiana way of making progress has always been to go backwards first.

Well this just isn’t entirely true. We have had MASSIVE numbers of positives and not massive numbers of hospitalizations. Hospitalizations have increased and this is troubling, but this isn’t 100% true

He didn't think this through very well.
Let's say that 100 tests are given and 13 come back positive. Nobody goes to hospital at that time.
3 days later, 2 of those cases worsen to where they have to be hospitalized. Those hospitalizations have NOTHING to do with more tests/positive tests.
A week later, one of the 2 in the hospital dies. That death has NOTHING to do with more tests, more positive tests or more hospitalizations.
What doesn't make sense is JBE's logic on that take!

Who's the college chick running his Twitter account?
Posted on 7/24/20 at 11:17 am to thadcastle
He's literally lying to our faces. They do not use a unique identifier to de-dupe positive tests. If someone takes 5 tests and tests positive each time, it is recorded as 5 positive cases.

JBE biggest flaw is he thinks Louisiana baws are smart and care about each other when in fact they are dumber than dirt and could care less if their neighbor falls into a pit of alligators. In fact they'd prolly push them in just to watch and point. I wish America would sell Louisiana to Cuba.
