Think about if that Southeastern game wasn't cancelled at the start of the year... Fournette probably would have had 100 yards in the first 2 drives

Fournette because he had a bad game against the best/deepest D line of the 21st century

Stovall was in the 8th grade when I was a senior at West Monroe High School. He played 8 years for the Cardinals, all pro 3 of those years, and Baker was cut by the Rams after two years. Miscarriage of justice just like Peyton not winning the Heisman.

Josh Reed had a legitimate shot, yet was overlooked. He had an amazing season.

Maybe 50 and a TD would’ve been a enough

The Bama game lost it for him. Y'all remember the UGA fans talking up Nick Chubb that year? Chubb had 146 yds on 20 carries vs Bama. Fournette had 31 yds on 19 carries a month later. And don't blame that on Les, because Brandon Harris had a comparable season (149-277, 2165, 13 TDs 6 int) to Greyson Lambert (UGA QB, 162-256, 1959, 12 TD 2 int). Harris ran for over 200 yds, Lambert ran for -39 on the year. UGA had Sony Michel, we had Guice and Darrell Williams. It was basically the same scheme for both teams, but we had a mobile QB and they had a statue.

Fournette had no chance in that game. We were running that predictable crappy offense with all that skill position talent. Saban just sent the house to run blitz and dominate the line of scrimmage. Fournette in our ‘19 offense would have run for 150yds easy on Bama. All that Bama talent is neutralized when you spread them out and make them play with 6-7 DBs

Mathieu had NO chance of winning the award with or without the suspension.

ESPN loved Mathieu.

there is not a doubt in my mind if Cecil remains a Tiger he would have won a Heisman...but he was just too fricked up in the head...

ETA: awe...look at the number of people that can't handle the truth...

Fournette had more ypg thru 4 games in 2015 than Cecil. How'd that work out?

He was suspended for ONE game that season. After the suspension, he returned to play in 3 of LSU's biggest games (Alabama, Arkansas and Georgia) and had, arguably, his biggest Heisman moments AFTER the suspension (game changing returns vs. Ark. and UGA). He finished 5th in the voting. Well behind numbers 1-3.

The award has ALWAYS been skewed towards offensive players. M

Mathieu was the popular pick early in the season for Heisman voting. When he was suspended for a failed drug test it killed his chances to finish first.

Stovall dominated the game on both sides of the ball.

When he was drafted the St Lou brass that took his said they could keep him at his weight and he would be a great DB, they could put some weight on him and he would be a great RB, or they might drop him a few pounds and he would be a great WR.
