there is not a doubt in my mind if Cecil remains a Tiger he would have won a Heisman...but he was just too fricked up in the head...

ETA: awe...look at the number of people that can't handle the truth...

The last two weeks he returned a punt for a TD against Arkansas and then again in SEC Championship. He had the "Heisman Moment" right there.
Yep. He missed the Florida game that year and he dropped a pick 6 vs Oregon.

Even then - RG3 was incredible that year. I don’t think he would have won it.

He might have in 2009 when Mark Ingram won it with like 1600 yards

And even Luck didn't win it. RGIII won it that season.

And Newton won it the year after. But Patrick Peterson not being invited to NY in 2010 is rigodamndiculous, IMO.

Run Fournette in garbage time and he beats all of Henry’s stats. All he really needed was a 100 yard game against Bama.

For those who will state TM7...Andrew Luck was a beast

Luck never won the Heisman.

TM7 was the most deserving player in ‘11. No player single handed affected so many significant games. Oregon, WVU, Arkansas and UGa to name a few.
RGIII put up video game numbers in a weak Big 12.

I'm afraid you're right but what a great turnaround for TM.

Stovall got hosed because it was so close to Cannon winning a couple years earlier, and there was a west coast bias vs the south in those days.

The guy that won it that year was the first person west of Texas to win. Doesn't sound like there was a whole lot west coast bias at that time.

He lost his touch with Tua, being able to prevent broken ankles and such

Absolutely. I've made that trip down that road personally. It's long, dark, winding road that takes a lot of work to navigate. Couldn't be prouder of Tyrann.

The Bama game lost it for him.

Y'all remember the UGA fans talking up Nick Chubb that year?

Chubb had 146 yds on 20 carries vs Bama. Fournette had 31 yds on 19 carries a month later.

And don't blame that on Les, because Brandon Harris had a comparable season (149-277, 2165, 13 TDs 6 int) to Greyson Lambert (UGA QB, 162-256, 1959, 12 TD 2 int). Harris ran for over 200 yds, Lambert ran for -39 on the year. UGA had Sony Michel, we had Guice and Darrell Williams.
It was basically the same scheme for both teams, but we had a mobile QB and they had a statue.
