Corona Virus has affected my family.

1 Family members' husband tested positive and my daughter and 2 grandchildren were both marked as positive.
Even though my daughter had a test the very next day and was found negative she was still counted as positive, along with her 2 children.
7 days later her husband took another test and was found negative. My daughter also took a test that day and was found still to be negative.
Both of the grandchildren are still considered positive for another week.

That isn't all.

My 3rd daughter spent 30 minutes with someone who ended up having a positive test.
My wife sent her to be tested. She received a positive result.

The other 4 people living in or home were all marked as positive.

We didn't believe the result because my 3rd daughter never had any symptoms. No one else in our house had any symptoms either. We sent her to have another test.

It came back negative, my 4th daughter and oldest son also took the test. all came back negative.
My wife and I who didn't take the test are still considered positive and cant go back to work for 5 more days.

This whole thing is a shite show.

I have a feeling, and hope, that in the coming few weeks new cases are going to fall off a cliff due to all this inflation in data

They TESTED positive or they just said "you were in contact with someone who tested positive, therefore you are positive"?

If the latter... no wonder they are able to show huge leaps in the numbers of positive cases.

There are still 326 million Americans that haven't been reported as a positive case - that can be, regardless of whether they have the virus or not.

One lady was tested, told by doctors that it looked bad, she had Rona, gloom and doom. Her friend who is a Doctor told her to tell them to frick off, and demand to have blood work done.

So she makes them do blood work, and she had Legionnaires’ disease, oooops.

People taking these Facebook posts and passing them off as personal stories is getting really old really fast.

I mean, you could at least change the details a bit to keep it interesting.

Same thing with the “friend of a friend signed up for testing, never got tested but was told they were positive”. It’s social media nonsense.

Both...

As stated in my OP, my 3rd daughter received a "positive" test. Or that is what the testing center told us.
Then they told us we were all considered positive since we live together and had to be quarantined for 14 days.

People without symptoms need to stop getting tested. That is the only way this shite stops.

I think there are plenty of cases like yours around the country and at some point in the near future each State should begin a full (independent) audit of the testing results. However, we should also realize that there is indeed a spike in true/actual cases around the country....and that is a GREAT thing because deaths and serious hospitalizations are not rising in the same manner. We cannot 'beat' this or any virus. Most will get it at some point but it appears that the virus is not spiraling out of control as some feared.

Who is considering you positive? Do you believe you are being counted as a positive case? How could you know that?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe you should talk to Jimmy Johnson. Tested positive, held out of his next race, two days after race he tests negative, twice. All in less than a fourteen day period. He was pissed. You actually don't think that is not happening with regular folks also?

I'm not sure there is reliable data to support that claim. The testing is so inaccurate and the number of testing has increased so drastically that any perceived increase of cases may merely be fabrication from inaccurate tests.

You mean how anti-masker Republicans are causing the spikes in cases?

PGA has wisely updated how they treat positive testing players with no symptoms.
