US Millionaires by race

So, blacks make up 13% of the US population and 8% of US millionaires...we have been led to believe that systemic racism (which no lib can give me an example of) creates a situation where it is impossible for blacks to participate in creating wealth...how then can this statistic be? All blacks are working for nothing, right? Did all these folks win the lottery?
Nope...I live in a very high end golf community with MANY wealthy black families....it's all about your work ethic folks. Anybody can make it in the the good old USofA if you don't expect it handed to you.

I’m guessing a lot of the bitching in that community has to do with how some of those people made that money.

If you are athletically gifted, you tend to be a football or basketball player.

If you are musically talented, you become a rapper. (Talent being relative here)

If those two avenues are blocked to you, you either study your arse off or try to become a drug kingpin. Take a wild guess which path is more popular.

That self-corrects within five years after they stop playing.

And if nfl/nba players and their children were more responsible with their money, they'd make up 13% of millionaires at least.

If you remove all the women pro athletes pay child support to probably drops to around 3%.

Everybody in my subdivision are doctors, lawyers and financial guys.

My next door neighbor owns a huge HVAC company

You do the math. I am not interested in participating in liberal picking apart of hard facts.....

Same thing happens for musicians and actors when they stop getting work.

Conspicuous spending may make for a good image but it means you’re fricked when the money stops coming in. Ask Hammer about it.

8% is 8%.

Cherry picking and separating out people based on occupation serves no purpose.

8% of 18.6m millionaires is 1,488,000. There aren’t nearly that many NFL/NBA/MLB players or actors, so this would be a very, very small portion of that number. I think 100,000 of that numbers being professional athletes/sports players would be a very generous estimate.

ETA: by generous, I mean that is likely an overestimate.

And remove musicians, singers etc. I don’t know why anyone would make the argument for removing certain qualifications of being a millionaire. If your a millionaire what difference does it make? Just to further this black millionaire percentage against the fake systemic racism narrative, 40 percent of the worlds millionaires reside in the United States! So if only 13 percent of the population contains 8 percent of the millionaires, where the frick is the oppression?!?

Why?

Pro sports also creates many other millionaires, from coaching, sponsorships, broadcasting, etc.

It's an industry just like any other.

Did I say all 80,000 were? I’m talking about paths toward that money.

Athlete and rapper are the “easy” ways if you are genetically gifted or have the right look at the right time.

The remaining slots are filled by people working their arse off, legally or illegally, and illegally tends to get more takers than legally.

It’s cooler to be a dope fiend than it is to work your arse off in school in a hard field then work hard to make money. Most people don’t want to put in the time and effort it takes to become a doctor, lawyer, or engineer let alone become a success at it.
