The US COVID-19 fatality rate is now officially under 4%

As of this afternoon...
3,455,929 total cases
138,030 total fatalities
Fatality rate of 3.99%
The fatality rate peaked back on May 14th at 6.10% and has steadily dropped ever since.
How does this compare to some of the other fatality rates in the Western World:
17.6%- France
15.6%- Belgium
15.5%- United Kingdom
12.0%- Netherlands
14.4%- Italy
9.4%- Spain
8.2%- Canada
7.4%- Sweden
6.0%- Switzerland
4.6%- Germany
3.9%- United States
Does anyone truly believe the virus is more deadly in other countries, or is the US just doing a much better job of testing and reporting cases? Yet the media wants to make the story all about our surging cases.
Many studies have pegged the actual fatality rate of COVID likely around 0.4%. If this is true, then its quite likely that over 10% of the USA has actually already contracted the virus. Apply this same math to other countries and its likely that Spain, UK, Italy, France, Sweden, and Belgium have all actually had a greater number of per capita cases..... yet the focus is only on the USA. I wonder why?

Is “case” synonymous with “test” or “individual”? Is the case number positive tests or positive individuals?

The last estimate from the CDC I believe was .246% based on antibody studies, and that was awhile ago.

US is testing at a rate that’s Double of the next country. Therefore, the sample size is bringing the fatality/death rate down tremendously. Flip side, you have more cases and why the discussion has shifted from death rate to case rate to justify governors shutting economy down. It’s BS

Going off cases logic...we should shut the states down from flu cases. And yes, ICUs get close to capacity every year with flu.

We have hospitals with patients in the hallways waiting for beds during flu season. No one blinks.
2017-18 was a big year for the flu in Missouri. We will probably have fewer Rona deaths this year than we did flu deaths in flu season that year.

Important to note: CONFIRMED cases. Not counting those who had it and didn’t even get tested because they didn’t have any symptoms.

The total cases seem really low. Imo, it's probably closer to 20 million total cases...but, most people who only have mild symptoms probably confuse it with a common cold or the flu, and since they don't feel any threat from it, they don't get tested.
I think if all the people with it, got tested .. then we'd see the mortality rate as under 1%.

I read that there is actually a number that = 'pandemic' and we were below that a week ago. We are now entering the number that is no longer even 'epidemic.'
But the word pandemic will stick. Or, the media might go to 'The Great Trump Plague.'

Which doesn't mean jack. Until a cure is found what difference does it make if we all get the virus? If it is hotter than hades outside there is something you can do about it, get somewhere where it's cool. We don't have that luxury presently concerning this virus. We have two choices, give me freedom or give me quarantine. That's it. Your choice.

so how does the mortality rate compare to the testing rate. US leads by over double the testing of the next country which i believe is Germany.
with Germany being second lowest, then it can correlate that more testing will lower the mortality rate.
