Why I think they don’t play only conference games

Where does that leave Notre Dame? I don’t see the NCAA not letting them play for the year when everyone goes conference only.

The NCAA has already said it is up to the individual conferences to make their own decisions. They kind of took the ND situation out of their hands.

Notre Dame has already lost two games vs Stanford and USC. The NCAA can’t legislate conference scheduling.

Because the Big Ten schools are using The virus as an excuse to cut cost on having to pay the lower tier schools to come to their place and get their arse beat. If they can’t have people in the stands then they can’t get that money back. It’s simple business. The rest of the conferences may follow suit.
The big OOC games are just a casualty of a business decision.

Outside of Notre Dame it really screws over the other independent schools like BYU and UMass.
