I wonder how many teams are trying to copy LSU’s offense from 2019

After our incredible 2019 offense, there has to be several teams pouring over game film and trying to implement our offense. Teams have always copied what works. Wing-T, wishbone, pro style, read option, spread. We did not create a new offense, we just perfected it. Don’t think anyone can do it due to virus, but they will given enough practice time.

Sure, just need 3 1st round WR, a 1st round RB, the best QB in college football.

Honestly I think what you saw was more LSU catching up to everyone else.

Wen didn’t exactly have some hugely new or unique system.

We did have dominant players to run it.

UGA is definitely trying to copy LSU's new offense but they don't have the QB or the same level of skill position players necessary to run it.

And a te with hands like randy moss
Plus a joe Moore award winning line

Even with Brady this offense has a lot of live up to
Without a normal off season and possibly no non conf games to work on things it’s going to take some time to gel

Plus a coach without his head in the sand that knows his job security hinges on beating bama every now and then

LSU didn’t invent a new offense or do anything innovative. They just finally utilized all the weapons they have on the field and had an all time great QB running the show.

Our offense wasn’t that complex it’s very simple and easy to copy. What isn’t easy to copy is having a Heisman QB, 3 first round WR, a first round RB and the best OL in the nation to go with a quality defense and the best cornerback to come through college football since Deon Sanders. Jimmy’s and Joe’s > X’s and 0’s every time.

The answer is 9 (nine).

If you could see my scratch paper it is most definitely nine (9).

ThenTiger scheme was really not that different from most RPO with a few wrinkles. They simply had an incredible number of exceptional athletes that could execute at the highest level. Some things cannot be copied.

None in the sense of running the same plays from the same exact formations. Ensminger is creative and always has been What they want to "COPY" is effectively a PRO QB situation where they have a graduate not being bothered by class room attendance or normal student activities for 2 full years coming to work with the coaches in the early AM and not leaving til late at night Notice UGA jumped into that game with a one year guy but LSU had Burrow to improve him 2 full seasons.

They also want a senior laden OL who have been in the weight room for years like LSU had. NFL style wr like LSU had and again the continuity of the OC. Those are the things all teams are trying to copy. Including LSU.

LSU didn't do a single thing schematically on offense that was new. They didn't reinvent the wheel. What LSU did was have a 1st round RB, 3 1st round WR's and the greatest QB to ever play the college game at least for one season.

Simple, all they need are, as others have already said, NFL talent and a process that focuses on playing better than opponents.

That 2019 team was a combination of scheme and world class athletes to execute that scheme to perfection...that combination comes along once in a generation....

Not sure anyone will have a QB that’s even close to Joe when measuring football IQ. Not to mention his receivers, OL, RB brought their A-game for 60 minutes and were always on the same page.

There was a whole lot more to our success than just simple X’s and O’s.

Smart said GA tried early on to install part of LSU’s offense at GA. He said they could not make the plays work because it took 5 really good receivers on the field on every play and most of the time they could only 3 on the field.

In short you cannot install an offense if you don’t have the players.
