Julian Edelman reaches out to DeSean Jackson after anti-Semitic posts

Leftists must be trembling with rage at the virulent white supremacism of Edelman to white 'splain AND Jew 'splain to a proud yet oppressed black hero like Desean Jackson

"So, to that end, DeSean, let's do a deal. How about we go to D.C. and I take you to the Holocaust museum and then you take me to the African-American Museum of History and Culture? Afterwards, we'll grab some burgers and we have those uncomfortable conversations. This world needs a little more love, compassion and empathy. Take care."
Jackson apologized twice for publishing an Instagram post of an image of a quote falsely attributed to Adolf Hitler, that said, in part, "(white) Jews will blackmail America. (They) will extort America, their plan for world domination won't work if the Negroes know who they were." Jackson also shared posts of controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who watchdog organizations have described as anti-Semitic and homophobic -- the posts were later deleted.

I wonder if Edelman would be this public about it if DeSean Jackson played in the defensive secondary.

Sounds like a great opportunity for mutually constructive discussion on bigotry between two equally invested parties. Zero chance DeSean accepts the offer

Why reach out?
If the roles were reversed, they would try to cancel Edelman

This is what actually "having a conversation looks like"
Not some frickboy liberal or a black or Brown person "having a conversation" by calling and yelling in my face that I am a racist, sexist, misogynist, transphobic, disgusting shite stain of what is America.
frick off.
ETA: I'm brown and immigrant AF

Poor Edelman doesn't know the rules. DeSean can be antisemitic, and doesn't have to face any consequences because a cop killed a black guy.

Edelman is an undersized player who is tough as nails. How stupid of you to imply he's some sort of coward.

Welcome to the whitey crowd

I've been red pilled, coat wearing, and a true patriot since my 11th grade year in 2009. That's growing up in New Orleans and attending a 80%+ minority school seeing how democratic policies and handouts literally helped ruin some of my HS friends lives'.

Good...our youth need heroes, not spineless cavers like Drew Brees.
Good on Edelman for not sitting idly by for this BS.

Not at all. I'm sure he's tough after seeing him come back from injuries in the past and be very productive.
But that's a big reason why Drew Brees backed down, IMO. Defensive head hunters called him out and basically said that a message will be sent and he better have his head on a swivel. If Brees is a target, why woudln't Edelman be?
Modern safeties outweigh Edelman by a significant amount and (if they wanted to) could knock him for a loop at the LOS or when he crosses the middle.
Edelman and DeSean Jackson are fellow receivers so they already have something in common.
Just my take

Why didn't he speak up prior to this?

In today’s climate, reaching out will be construed as whitesplaining and you’re in the same boat of getting cancelled if you had uttered the initial words yourself.

Why? It's not Edelman's job to be a peacemaker. It is the NFL'S job to ban Jackson for life.

No, it was Brees' teammates stabbing him in the back that made him lose his nuts.

I think it's both.
