Mental Illness in this country

Has got to be at an all time high right now.
Psych experiments on unstable people turned into mass shootings
Groups fighting for segregation...the opposite of what their leaders fought so nobly for
A blatant disregard for US History and twisting of historical facts
A society that promotes individuals having to be perfect and agreeable to the mass hysteria, lest they face extreme backlash and calls of racism
Hatred for anything American
Men who think they’re women and vice versa
Yelling in the face Of differing viewpoints louder and louder, discouraging ANY kind of discourse
There’s not enough facilities on the planet to treat all this mental instability

Mental illness doesnt just pop up out of nowhere. Also, these people would probably argue mental illness was more widespread when racism was more prevalent.

mental illness isn't the problem. Rampant sinfulness is the problem.

I don't know if I would classify as mentally ill, but rather demon controlled. Most of these whackjobs have weak/horrible parents. There's a large number of pharmaceutical-ingesters in the youth.

When you also throw in the fact that some groups in this country have an average IQ of 85 and can be led around by the nose, it makes for a very untenable situation.

Check out Dr. K, who is a Harvard trained psychiatrist talks about a lot of these issues and chats with Twitch streamers.
He had a couple chats with Byron "Reckful" Bernstein who died by suicide on Thursday.

YouTube link to his professor Andy stream talking about some of the issues.

It’s both with sinfulness creating broken homes full of neglect & abuse that lead to mental
health issues
Or greed that leads to neglect & emotional abuse that leads to mental health issues
You can’t tell me any part of this is normal

White Kids wanting to be black kids following every order from BLM to "Act like we tell you to do."
"Get in the front and raise your hands, They won't shoot you!"
You got to be mentally deranged to follow the line.

People are alienated from the natural world. Taking a week to just disconnect in the woods alone would cure most people from mistaking social media and Leftist Agitprop for happiness and meaning. All this is self inflicted.

It's not mental illness. I think it's the absence of what I call 'social-norming.' For most of our history young children learned things from the reactions of their peers. If you were a boy in 1st grade and you decided to bring a teddy bear to school you would be mocked until you learned to not do that.
Things changed in the 60s with Dr. Benjamin Spock who influenced schools and parents not to chastise odd behavior. 'The child is just expressing himself.'
Young people today have had almost no social norming in their childhood. So, they have no aversion to acting like they are abnormal.

That’s an excellent point.
Somewhere it became uncool to handle that kind of thing on the playgrounds .
Me and my brother always say you could offer a free PlayStation and today’s youth would just let you walk right in and take over the country

An anecdotical story
When I was in fifth grade during the 80s, we had a severe tornado during school. A somewhat normal kid in our class said “what if this tornado blew us all away.”
That kid was sent to mandatory weekly psychologist appointments for six months to make sure he was mentally okay.
Now if that fifth grader wants to chop off his penis and use the girls bathroom, we have an education system that will fight for that kid - even against the parents if need be.
There’s a lot of mental illness in between those two examples that gets totally unchecked.

I see a lot of good responses here. I think the problem is rooted in people’s desire to not think for themselves. There are a lot of mentally lazy people who just want to be told what to think. Issues arise with the double standards, causing mental anguish, or as you put it, illness.

Mental illness is huge. I work with children with behavior disorders in the public school and see things that most wouldn't believe. In most cases, the parents are in denial and cater to the behavior, make excuses, or the mental illness runs in the family so no one thinks it's a big deal. Typically these students are labeled as having a disability and the government doesn't seem to realize that schools do not have the resources available to help them. Teachers are beat up daily and the child is never provided the mental health services needed. It's a really sad situation.
