Looking for options on how to hook up my patio with speakers

Wasn’t sure whether to post this on the tech board or here, so forgive me
Just built an outdoor patio. I am going to eventually have a TV mounted and I was wondering what my options were as far as speakers. I don’t necessarily need competition level sound, but I would like to have a decent setup for football games and for playing some music. What are my options as far as a ‘hub’ for getting this done? I’d like the option to hookup to my phone and to the TV. Should I just get a regular soundbar?
Ideally, I’d like to have a subwoofer with two speakers spread out on my patio, but I’m not sure what my options are here
Any advice will be considered and appreciated. Thanks in advance

You could buy 2 Sonos Move speakers which are their new outdoor portable speakers. They connect via WiFi if you can get it to your patio but they also can use Bluetooth. They would allow you to connect your tv while watching but also use your phone to play music. When buying a tv, just make sure it’s compatible.

Should have mentioned that I plan on mounting my speakers up high on the wall, and I’d like 2 of them, one for each side of my patio (it’s 23ft long)
Also should have mentioned that I don’t want to spend too much on it, so Sonos is probably out of the question. I know they’re probably the best, but it’s just not in the cards at the moment

If you don’t need it to be connected to the rest of your home then I’d just get a decent soundbar with sub that you can connect Bluetooth to.
If whole home is desired I’d look into Sonos.

Not really necessary to have the whole house wired together. I get the appeal, but it’s not necessary. Typically at my house, the men are outside on the patio drinking and watching shite, and the women are inside in a totally different world.... just like it’s supposed to be

Recently put a new TV on the patio and went the soundbar route for what you are wanting. Soundbar is connected to the tv but also allows phones to connect to it to play music via bluetooth. Can even have a phone playing music while the tv has a game on it (without the sound). It was a very cheap and easy solution. I also live in a quiet neighborhood so do not feel the need to have a ridiculous stereo system that I will never turn up.

I'd probably avoid the Pyle amp if it were me. I guess it depends on how flexible you want it to be. Something with wired and bluetooth inputs should suffice. You can feed any audio you want from your TV or phone (radio included) nowdays.
Check out Parts-Express.com. They make their own line under the Dayton brand that is solid. Not McIntosh level stuff, but solid budget performers.

Go to Best Buy and listen to some sound bars. I think you’ll be surprised at how good some of them sound these days.

Agreed. 15 years ago I wired in two Klipsch outdoor marine-grade speakers. They do sound great but are hooked into my indoor receiver/computer.
These days for ease of use I use my cheap (<$100 bucks from Costco) soundbar for TV and music. Surprisingly good. Has lasted about 3 years outside already (My outdoor area does have a roof).

I think I started the same thread on the tech board a month ago. After going back and forth I realized I had some powered bookshelves that were stored in a closet. And I would try them before I bought something else. My issue was that I just couldn't find a soundbar that I thought would do enough to fill the outdoor area with enough sound.
So I have an optical cable going to a Klipsch r-51pm setup with the matching sub. It is plenty loud, gives the option to mount as far away from each other as you want (as opposed to a single soundbar), and saves some wires and mounting with the integrated amps. On the other hand, there is no way to control the volume with the tv remote. Just throwing another option out there.

Wouldn't underestimate how loud a decent soundbar can get. I didnt get a super nice one but it was moreso for my situation. I also bought an all in one instead of the separate sub because I dont have a place to hide the sub currently.

So get one with a sub woofer. Vizio and YAmaha make good soundbars that are priced attractively.
I bought some outdoor speakers from Amazon for $100 about 3 years ago. They are only Bluetooth and sound pretty good for the price. Haven’t hooked them up to a tv though. I think they sound great for a regular sized patio area outside.

These Yamahas have good ratings and are $75 per pair. As far as receiver goes, I recommend looking for something used on LetGo, Craigslist, or a pawn shop. Plenty of people upgrade their indoor equipment that is great for covered outdoor use. That's what I did for my garage receiver.

I just use a couple Google mini speakers and connect them via Bluetooth to the media stick I use. They're not top quality sound, but for $30 each they're loud and give me access to Google Assistant. Sometimes I use them to set a timer while grilling in case I forget something and we use them for music via Spotify.

I have put those Yamaha speakers on my last 2 patios...they are good for what you want. Hooked up to an old receiver that I keep outside, out of the rain. Connected to the receiver to my phone with a Chromecast. Can control content and volume from my phone.
Very easy and very budget friendly. Speakers, Chromecast, used receiver...maybe $150.
