Why the need to erase historical items?

Objects representing Good history and bad history should be preserved.

It wouldn't be so bad if libs would stop bitching about slavery after they removed all objects that were around during the era of slavery. But, that won't happen. Libs will bitch about slavery no matter what. It's about removing everything from that era, so that libs can rewrite history. That way future generations will only know the rewritten past.

A rewritten past that basically entails that all white people owned slaves or cheered on slavery. All white people are evil. All white people should forever feel guilt and shame. How slaves freed themselves. In 50 years, that gibberish will be in history books. That will be the only accepted version of that era.

Well said. Just because it was a bad period in the history of this country, it STILL part of its history. Study it and learn from it. The idiots that use it for some kind of rallying cry can go frick themselves with a rubber dick.

Like seriously... what are we fighting this for?

If they wanted to remove hamburgers from all menu's , would it make more sense why the destruction of history needs to stop?

Most rebel flags are made in China since the 1990s.

The ones made in 1861-1865 weren't.

Because the Confederate battle flag was just the beginning, not the end. You're being willfully obtuse if you can't understand this.

The beginning of w h a t ?

What's the issue with taking this stuff of state and taxpayer funded property and keeping them in museums?

Historical
Yes, it perfectly dovetails with the history of Jim Crow. The present "confederate flag" did not have much emotional resonance prior to the 1920s or so.

They've made it quit clear that this has nothing to do with the Confederacy.

Great question. There is really no value. People still defending the flag are just losers who are clinging to "muh heritage"

I have a serious question Why is kneeling during the national anthem wrong but flying the battle flag of the Confederacy, which fought the united states not wrong?

They can’t answer that.... flying the flag of the enemy the most unpatriotic thing you could do...that flag to real Americans should hold no value at all...

Listen... don't minimize someone's history and heritage to this kind of mockery. I just want to know why is there a huge fight to keep the stuff on taxpayer funded property.

I know people that had freed Black relatives fight on behalf of the Confederacy. They're not all up in arms about keeping this stuff up.

Why everybody else?

No I’m arguing a point and you’re not. You’re repeating ignorance and stupidity and I’m asking why? You can’t answer so you start attacking. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I can't help you if you haven't been paying attention. Sorry...

ETA: In case you're wondering The Mob is tearing down Andrew Jackson's statue as we speak. This has NOTHING to do with the Confederate flag, but American history in general. These people need to be dealt with by using overwhelming force.

Cause I like it. I like it on my Jeep I like it on my campers, my boat....my shirt, my socks, my hat....I like it.

So now that we have that settled can we just get on with shutting up about it.
