How many black people go a baseball game? I mean have you seen many blacks in the stands? I have never. That is same for just about all sports. I am puzzled why is that?
I did forget that one black person said I rather play football than to go to the game and watch it. That must be the same for all sports.
The saints and pelicans crowds are at least 30% black every game

Saints games aren’t close to 30%.
To answer the question, NOLA will never get a team. No one is sitting outside in this heat for a day game.

Couldn’t even support AAA ball at a cool stadium.

Never
This. They couldn't support a minor league team with cheap ticket prices and a brand new ball park. What makes anyone think they'd support a major league team???
N.O.'s economy is such that there just aren't enough folks with that much disposable money to support another big league team. Yes, we're solidly behind the Saints and do OK with the Pelicans, but you'd have overlapping seasons with basketball and baseball.
ETA: And before anyone chimes in that the basketball and football season overlap, I know that. The Saints play one game a week splitting their season with 8 games at home and 8 away. Where as basketball and baseball play multiple games a week when their seasons overlap.

But your team cheats.
Yep. And as we are now learning, they were cHeAtiNG just like every other team. ‘Stros were just better at it.

Never, they probably would try and put them in that crappy dome too.

Well, it would HAVE to be in an air conditioned stadium.
There is no way I’m going to a baseball game or doing anything OUTSIDE in June, July, or August in New Orleans. Day or night. It’s miserably hot and sweaty.

Never.
Uninformed post.
The Superdome has been renovated in such a permanent manner to be a football stadium. It would take years to undo all the work they did to make it as it is now, and not convertible for baseball.

And there's the biggest issue. Team revenue in MLB is tied primarily to the number of TV sets in the local market. NOLA just doesn't have the population base to compete. Any remotely good players would leave as free agents or have to be traded for prospects.

Unless you mean when MLB chose Montreal over New Orleans in their 60s expansion
I wish the 'Stros were closer to me--I'd probably go see a few more games if we had MLB within an hour or so drive--but there is zero chance MLB expands into our Chocolate City.

Weather would suck for sure without a roof
It rains every afternoon in summer
Plus a lot of Astros fans in s la
It would have to be a regional draw which would be hard to do
I don’t think minor league baseball was ever marketed properly and they never had a decent affiliate to begin with
