There is no where on earth where everyone is equal.

I'm white and I'm not equal to him. This guy is living my ultimate dream. Playing for the US national team. I'm stuck working 9-5 for the rest of my life.

frick this guy.

He was our best player off the bench in 2014, so you're being stupid here.

The frick language is this?

So it's binary, either you're a star or you suck?

Lol good riddance. Until we get some Jordan like mentalities that only care about winning, this program is going to suck so much arse it’s unfathomable.

I find his stance confusing. Doesn't he realize the platform he has to help bring the change he wants is the national team? By boycotting the team he would be losing his voice, not amplifying it.

All he needs to do is see how Rapinoe catapulted herself and her ideals by playing instead of sitting out.

People actually care about men’s soccer outside of the World Cup. As long as he’s playing at a decently high level, he’ll have an audience any time someone needs a story. This story is testament to that given that’s it’s basically built off of what seems like him thinking through this out loud.

He is good by the usmnt standards he would have a tough time making the squad for a top 20 national team.

Yedlin just became the second youngest American to reach 100 PL appearances.

But yeah... shite player.

No country in the world provides more opportunity for black and brown people.

I'd rather he didn't represent this country.

Compare the US to other countries. I’m not saying it’s perfect here but the US is objectively less racist than the vast majority of countries on this planet. Contrast Yedlin’s complaints with what Fafa Picault experienced in Italy. I bet Yedlin never had anyone in Seattle throw bananas at him or tell him to go back to Africa

If the USA was truly racist, the lives if blacks and other minorities would be exponentially worse than they are (or have been for decades).

Are there individual racists? Of course...of all colors.

But this systemic racism bullshite is just that.

That’s dumb. Good riddance.

Edit: but I respect his decision to quit rather than bitch and complain like the WNT.
