I have to draw the line at going alone to a football game. LOL that doesn’t seem fun at all

I have been all over the world by myself, as far away as China and Australia. If you really want to see a different culture go somewhere with very few white people and little English.

I do it all the time. I don't fly, so I always take road trips. It would be completely ruined if I had someone with me.

I do all the time (since I'm single). I follow my own schedule and it's great.
Spent 24 days last November in Australia, Went to all LSU postseason games for over 25 years, took a 21 day drive out west 2 years ago, a week in Sint Maarten 3 years ago, a month in Maine 4 years ago.
Traveling is the best part about being single, retired, and financially secure. And yes, I do worry some about safety being alone on the trips, but i make sure I'm aware of my surroundings at all times.

Most of that sounds awesome, but do you not have friends to go to LSU games with?

I had to go to the Florida game by myself last year. Despite having a South stadium club seat, it wasn’t nearly as fun of an experience solo as with others.
I’ve gone to many many concerts, festivals, baseball games, etc by myself as well as traveled alone a few times. Sometimes, the freedom is awesome, but often times, the experience feels hollow, sobering, and isolating. There are few feelings quite as disillusioning as those moments when one feels completely alone in a giant crowd of people.

I went to Norway for a month alone, did a backpacking and hiking type trip. I’ve been to Peru, Scotland, Brazil, big road trip in the northwest all with buddies. Norway was my favorite.
It kinda sucks not being able to share it with someone, but you can literally do whatever YOU want. You choose what to do and what not to do. It’s awesome.

I backpacked in Europe for 3 weeks solo, so yes. It was nice, but I did get pretty lonely a few times. Probably wouldn't be an issue for a weekend though unless you're super social. I'm very introverted and generally prefer to be by myself.

Happens a lot.
Hell, take travel out of it. Think of the people who don't go to a restaurant or go to a movie alone because they think they'll be judged.
Solo travel is awesome. Sure, if you manage to go with someone with the exact same interests, it is preferred. But typically, you're pulled in many different directions when traveling with a group. Solo travel, you do what you want at the pace you want. It is a nice change.
My last solo trip, I was in the airport getting put back together after TSA. A traveler sat next to me and saw my hiking backpack and had a bit of envy when I told him I was going out west alone for a few days. It was a good feeling.
Edit: Just be prepared to have a few moments where you feel a little lonely or wish you had someone to share the experience with.

For me, the big lonely moments are usually during meals or drinking. I like having someone to talk to. I’ll want to share an experience only to realize there’s no one to share it with. I hate sitting at a restaurant alone.

Before I was married, I took a trip to NYC and Philly by myself. Had a great time. Did things at my own pace, ate where I wanted to eat, saw what I wanted to see, stayed up or slept as long as I wanted.
As long as you are comfortable doing things on your own (eating at a restaurant or going to a show, etc) it’s not a big deal.
Now I will say, I love traveling with my wife. The pace at which I do stuff is much slower, but I see and do things I probably never would have thought to do on my own.
