Go read the lyrics to that song... It was never patriotic to start with...

I quit listening to him after "The River." His blue collar, working man, shtick died with "Born in the USA." Haven't liked him since.

It's hard to swallow lectures on blue collar struggles from a guy worth a half a billion dollars.

What specifically is derogatory to the US in that song?
Honestly curious to know exactly what you mean.

Seems like he's just commenting on the futility of the Vietnam War, the fall of the industrial economy, and our failure to take care of our vets.

Most Americans would probably agree with that stuff.

“It’s the tunes man”.
Most people don’t care about the meaning of his or anyone’s else’s songs as they may sing along but it’s the catchy music that gets them . I have no problem listening to him or watching these other useful idiots (mouth breathers) in movies or sports till they try to create a narrative, then if laugh at their perceived importance . It’s only a problem when the people take them seriously, like these idiots kids are across the country . People like The Boss can become a “victim” just as easy with these Fires down Below

One silver lining of communism is that all of these entertainment celebrities would get the great demotion they've deserved for a long time.

I never liked his music. His voice grates. His saxomaphone player though was spot on.
same here. he wrote a couple of songs early on that were good, but has been the penultimate capitalist pig the rest of the way

he has been out for a long while. Didn't he date a tranny at some point and turn it into a song?

Born in the USA is not exactly complimentary of the USA.

Not one bit. Reagan and Bush made this their theme song for a minute back in 1984

Yep, in true lib fashion like the Hollyweird idiots.
Springsteen has always been a prick, but the media loved him. He is an overrated musician, artist, whatever, proud to say I never bought any record by that asswipe.
He is in a battle with Bono of U2 for biggest jackass in music, although Steven Tyler is trying hard to be an even bigger jerk...

Springsteen should be cancelled for his creepy pedo/incestuous "I'm on Fire" lryics:

Hey little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go and leave you all alone?
I got a bad desire
Ooo-oh I'm on fire

Tell me now baby is he good to you?
And can he do to you the things that I do?
