And removes them when the Seattle Times pointed it out

Fox News published digitally altered and misleading photos on stories about Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in what photojournalism experts called a clear violation of ethical standards for news organizations. As part of a package of stories Friday about the zone, where demonstrators have taken over several city blocks on Capitol Hill after Seattle police abandoned the East Precinct, Fox’s website for much of the day featured a photo of a man standing with a military-style rifle in front of what appeared to be a smashed retail storefront. The image was actually a mashup of photos from different days, taken by different photographers — it was done by splicing a Getty Images photo of an armed man, who had been at the protest zone June 10, with other images from May 30 of smashed windows in downtown Seattle. Another altered image combined the gunman photo with yet another image, making it appear as though he was standing in front of a sign declaring “You are now entering Free Cap Hill.”

In addition, Fox’s site for a time on Friday ran a frightening image of a burning city, above a package of stories about Seattle’s protests, headlined “CRAZY TOWN.” The photo actually showed a scene from St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 30. That image also was later removed.

Edit: And Frick the CHAZ.

So a mainstream media outlet manipulated a situation to fit the agenda they wanted to present?
WE MUST ALL BE OUTRAGED BY THIS UNPRECEDENTED HAPPENING!

How many times have you called out CNN? Just curious.

All New York and DC news departments pull from the same pool of dishonest people.

Would this be more like or less like when CBS got caught three separate times using OR footage from Italy and trying to pass it off as NYC during the opening stages of #MuhPandemic?
Posted on 6/13/20 at 5:41 pm to ItalianIceMaker
They shouldn't do that.
None of them should.
None of them should.

It would be very much like that. Both crap unethical journalism designed for their narratives.

Most likely a CNN insider did this to make Fox News appear Fake News. Looks like they pulled it off

OK, so being a new kid on the block,
we all can count on you to call out fake news no matter what network it comes from.

The photos were a mashup. Doctored for a headline not for bad reasons.

It is about time they get a taste of their own medicine. It seems they don't like a turn about of fair play.

I’m no ardent defender of Fox but the picture was several pictures imposed on top of one another. It could not be more obvious that is a mash up of different pictures. I don’t see what the big deal is.
