Regarding this defund the police BS and the BRPD....

You should know that at the end of 2019 the Baton Rouge Police Department was short 88 officers. In that year 35 resigned, 17 retired and 1 was terminated.
The starting salary is $33,000 for an officer, which means the BRPD is already pretty damn well defunded. They aren't paying out the $3,000,000 a year in salaries they are allotted for, not to mention health insurance and other expenses.
Keep this in mind when the #defund BS makes its way (and you know it will) to Baton Rou-edge.

Just like the military, police departments could get by on a lot less money if they were operated better and more efficiently.

St. George wasn’t going to have their own police department but now it sounds like they can get a bunch of the BRPD best at a bargain price. They should rethink having their own.

If BRPD was defunded, home invasion/murders/robberies would be an everyday thing in neighborhoods NOT involved in the drug trade.

Most people wouldn't rather kill a person than call the cops and have them arrested. That being said, if they are in your house, they should already be dead.
