PMAC Student Section & Media Seating Changes for 2020-21

Just got my basketball renewal with the updated seating/pricing chart. The biggest takeaway was not the prices, but that the media is being moved up to section 333 and the student section returns to encompass the entire baseline on the east/visitors side.

It's good that the moved the media up to the top. (1) There aren't that many of them to begin with; (2) They didn't need all that space; (3) This isn't 1985, or even 1995. Every game is broadcast (even if online only). They don't HAVE to be at the game to see what is going on.
As far as the students are concerned, they can bitch all they want about "bad seats". But until they start consistently showing up LSU is not going to sacrifice seats that could fetch $800 - $1100 a piece to accommodate them

Every year I send a note to LSUMBB Office to move the damned media up to 300s and give the students back that area. Hallelulah!
For 50% of our home games, there are less than 500 students in students seats. No way we should move them back to prime seats.

Great news about the media. I wonder if adding the vip court side seating by the visitors bench allowed them to put students in 117 and 118.
Hopefully the price increases mean we get Kansas at home.

Just re-upped my ticket... Also put in a request for SEC tournament tickets, just in case. I expect this team to be damn good

I agree - I certainly don't think they deserved the upgrade based on their participation and attendance. But I get we're trying to take steps to improve the atmosphere. I just wonder if this does it. They were pretty docile where they were now they are going to show up and bring it cause the seats are slightly better?
