It's the series 6. I took a pic.
Thanks for playing.

The 55" series 6 was $399 and you could even see that on their website.

The 55" on the website is the 2018 model (not showing up for me this morning). So, assuming the 65" in store is also the 2018 model, then it's $500 for the 2018 model from Costco vs $750 for the 2019 model from Bestbuy.

its still a series 6 and you wont find the 2018 model for under $750 anywhere so not sure your point. the differences between them is minimal. its not like this is a 5 or 4 series.

quote:

The TCL 6 Series/R625 2019 is very similar to the TCL 6 Series/R617 2018. The R625 has a more premium design and a much better local dimming feature, but the R617 is brighter and has better reflection handling. The R625 has a higher backlight flicker frequency, but a slower response time, and motion doesn't look as good.

iow: its a wash

if you got them for $399 & $499 respectively you might have gotten the deal of the year.

It's fricking mind boggling that you can find a 65" 4k tv for $750 now.. I bought my Vizio 65" several years ago from Costco for $1250 and thought I was getting a steal of a deal.

So I noticed this weekend that my local Costco (lafayette) has zero TCL tvs in stock of any series. They normally have pallets of various sizes and series 4,5&6

I’m guessing mostly covid supply chain issues? Or is it increased demand ?

i think costco has switched over to hisense for their cheap tvs now unfortunately.

thats why those series 6 tvs were so cheap; they were clearing them out.

Just pulled the trigger on a Hisense 65H8G. Base price of $750, but after rakuten points received, it will be under $615. Offer ends today. LINK

My local Costco had a new shipment of 4 series TCL’s yesterday so hopefully they are not totally moving away from TCL for the cheap stuff. No 5 or 6 series to be found though

I have TCL series in our bedroom and like it. For the living room I spent a bit more for a Samsung and the picture quality is definitely better. Still not unhappy. Spend like 200 bucks for the bedroom smart tv..that's a hell of a deal
