Saw this mentioned in another thread, so I thought I'd start an animal thread.

Sorry for the lack of info on some of these, ran out of time on my lunch break

The Sea Pig:

These animals are deep sea creatures that live in depths of over 1000 meters. They tend to be 4-6 inches in length, and are often found in large groups. When found in large groups, they often are all facing in the same direction into the prevailing current for feeding. According to Wired the sea pig makes up to 95% of the total animal weight on the ocean floor.

Pacu:

The Pacu, known for having a human-like set of teeth, can grown anywhere from 7 to 42 inches long. Although related to piranha, these fish feed solely on plants, and crustaceans. The largest Pacu caught according to the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) was 71 pounds. Pacu have recently been starting to pop up in North America, and have been found as far north as New Jersey as of 2015.

Sri Lanka Frogmouth:

This one creeps me out. This bird inhabits Southwest India and Sri Lanka. Growing up to 9 inches in length, the SLF is known for its wide, hooked bill. It feeds on insects and other small critters.

Leaf-Tailed Gecko:

This gecko is the master of camouflage. This animal is nocturnal and uses its extremely big eyes to hunt at night. It was discovered on the Island of Madagascar in 1888 by George Albert Boulenger.

Greenland Shark:

The Greenland Shark is one of the largest living species of shark. They grow up to 21 ft. and weigh as much as 2,200 lbs. As an Apex predator, the Greenland shark mostly feeds on fish although it has never been seen actively hunt. The shark is also a scavenger that feeds off of the remains of animals such as polar bears, whales, and seals. These sharks live an extremely long time, reaching sexual maturity at 150 years old.

All Leaf-tailed Geckos? Because you show pictures of two different species, the first being the aptly named Satantic Leaf-tailed Gecko.

You didn't even include the most interesting fact about them...they are believed to be mostly blind (I think), because of some nasty eye parasite, which can be seen as a white filament trailing from the eye.

Urechis unicinctus, known as the fat innkeeper worm or Chinese penis fish, is a species of marine spoon worm. It is found in Bohai Gulf of China and off the Korean and Japanese coasts. It is not to be confused with a closely related species, Urechis caupo, which occurs on the western coast of North America and shares common names. The body is about 10–30 cm long, cylindrical in shape and yellowish-brown in color. On the surface of the body there are many small papillae.
