Yeah, that's Oxford. The O'Charley's is permanently closed now.

Prayers sent if you have to go to Anniston frequently. It was a great place 40 years ago, but has been run into the ground by terrible management and corruption for decades. After Fort McClellan closed, the population plummeted and fighting within the city council over what to do with the land that the fort is on put the final nail in the city's coffin.

fricking idiot ran from police.
gets out of car with "something" in his hand and points it at police.
he should have been killed.
what color he is has nothing to do with anything.

I live about 20 minutes down the road now but my shop is about 200 yards from the police station and rumors are swirling that the protestors are coming. I hope this doesn't mess up the rest of my week.

Please little baby Jesus let them try to get on to the Depot.

Cops are getting way to many toys while we have shite roads to drive on. Their budgets need to be slashed and put elsewhere. They are buying cameras, technology, new vehicles because they gotta hurry and burn through the budget.

Oxford seems like a nice little town. I stop there, or in Anniston, pretty frequently. There's an O'Charley's in that area that I go to.

Sorry to hear that it's been inflected by the Blue Plague.

Yeah, God forbid anyone try to keep it nice.

What's the point of this post OP?

My shop is right next door to the police station and the rumors are swirling that protesters are going to be out there. It's unsettling to possibly be mixed up in some of the stuff I've been seeing on the news over the past few weeks.

So if they do show up, even though this seems like there should be no issue with this shoot, the possibility for things to go sideways is somewhat high imo. This dept has been wound pretty tight under this current chief and the climate surrounding police right now doesn't help.

What, exactly, are you confused about?
