That’s so retarded. None of them were even symptomatic and the actual science shows asymptomatic people are barely even contagious.

Despite what the fear mongering media tried to convince you early on about “YOUNG PEOPLE CAN DIE TOO!!” the data through three months shows that it’s more likely the players will die of undiagnosed heart conditions or traumatic brain injuries than covid.

Also covid will likely never go away. If you don’t play this season you might as well never play.

THIS is what no one is talking about and it is obviously going to happen to multiple teams at multiple times throughout the fall

There's been a regular flu vaccine for 20 years, yet 100,000 or more die in an average year, so why destroy the country for something that happens almost every year???? CV19 is a fraud.

Also why quarantine 50 people? Just test them and see if they got it. We’re past the point where you have to quarantine everyone bc there’s no tests

If fb players tested covid-19 positive during a season their season might be over. We will know whether fb games to be played this fall or not in July and if they play any safety protocols will be put in place.

in the US 8,000 to 20,000 die from the flu in a given year and many of these do not get a flu shot

Yea funny how that worked out , you can’t go visit your sick father , or have more than 10 people at a funeral , you have to lock the church doors to keep the gestapo out , but you can release the protesters by the 10’s of thousands

Has it been proven that you're immune once you've had the virus? Honest question, I haven't seen a definitive conclusion.

Well if we aren't immune after contracting it (or at least our body becomes better at fighting it off), then we, as a society, are fricked.

Silvermoon, I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, but yes, there are no where NEAR 100k deaths from the covid virus. MAYBE 35% of that.

What happens when a group of 50 get quarantined in September? Do u cancel one game, two games?

Everybody plays with masks on, dang it.

And for the people who, "mask don't do anything", masks can prevent the spread if you have it.

Perhaps they can also wear special face shields built into the helmets. Okay, maybe it will get a little stuffy with all this extra protection. I'm just messing around..

I just want my college football.

Who would have thought 100,000 people with an average age of 80 and multiple medical conditions would ever die in 3 months out of 340 million people? Oh the humanity!

People over 80 always have the highest death rates. But people over 80 make up a smaller % of covid deaths than deaths by other diseases.

A "reported" 1.7 million covid 19 cases in the USA. There are 327 million people in the USA. That gives you an infection rate of .0052. Which is 1/2 of 1%.

The 100,000 deaths attributed to
Covid-19 vs. 1.7 million cases gives you a mortality rate of .0588 or slighlty less than 6%. For this we have shut the economy down and put people and families homes and jobs in jeopardy. Even if the covid-19 numbers are correct they are not a reason to shut the country down. It was an overblown reaction plain and simple.
