Scott Woodward says he’d love to play Tulane, but Tulane wants home-and-home

Personally I would like to see the series come back some day. If Tulane is going to play a bodybag game it might as well be LSU instead of Auburn, Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc.

Don’t really give a crap... play all the games in Baton Rouge.

What about a 4-1 with that one in the dome?

I don’t see what the big deal is about LSU playing them in the dome. Just schedule the home and home

I’m sorry but we don’t go play an away game at Tulane.

Would rather the funds LSU pays to visiting teams go to state schools. Tulane does not need the money and did not need the SEC either.

American conference teams and their demands for a home and home... at least UCF claimed a natty over bama.

I like the idea too. Of course I’m old and remember when playing Tulane meant something and was fun.

Yeah, i can see LSU agreeing to play at 30k seat Yulman.
with its dead grass colored turf.

When they can play pretty much any school on the planet at home instead in front of more than 3x’s that many (tickets sold, maybe not asses in seats).

No thanks. I don’t think we should be playing in Houston for 3 million against Rice much less lose a home game for Tulane. LSU is doing you a favor, not the other way around. Keep playing in state schools that realize it’s a favor like Southern/Grambling/McNeese/LaTech etc.

That is about right. This is why the ‘why don’t LSU fans hate Ole Miss anymore’ thread can be clarified on why younger fans don’t care.

Why not a 2 in BR 1 in the Dome agreement just seems like something could be worked out but egos are getting in the way.
While Tulanes new stadium is said to be nice it’s just not large enough to facilitate both in state crowds so Scott is right if that’s what they are hoping to happen.

In the '80's we would play the Green Weanies in the dome. It was fun although never a sale out. After the game we would go party in New Orleans.

You can schedule all of them. Just don’t play same instate schools in consecutive years. Tulane seems to be improving so who knows they may become more competitive again.
