Walker Howard is my fifth cousin. The DeJean’s in Opelousas told me he came extremely close to committing to LSU not that long ago. He and Campbell are very good friends. It would not shock me if both went down shortly.

If he commits soon that will essentially erase any chance of LSU taking two QBS in 2021.

I think they have to leave room for the option to take a transfer QB. If Brennan has a great year like some anticipate he could be the 3rd highest rated draft eligible QB prospect.
Also have to wonder if Caleb Williams will completely shut things down or still somewhat keep his options open as the season goes along.

Walker Howard is a pro style QB. He’s a solid top 10 QB in the country and a top 100 player overall. His dad is former LSU QB Jamie Howard. Strong LSU ties. It would be a shock if he went somewhere other than LSU.

Man...I’m obviously super excited to see how the 2021 class fills out—I think we’re probably more likely than not to wind up with a top 5 class—but in terms of the “national championship bump”....2022 is shaping up to be insane. The number and quality of kids that we have either already committed or trending toward us is far ahead of any other school for that cycle. I know that I’m getting way ahead of myself with this but I’m already starting to get crazy excited for the team made up of our 2020/2021/2022 classes...
