82nd Airborne Division Arrives to DC Metro Area with Black Hawks and Chinooks

Washington DC is the federal district of the United States of America and this crisis is disabusing people of the notion that the DC Mayor is in charge of law enforcement in the city.
That would be POTUS' responsibility as the chief law enforcement officer of the federal government. The fact that DC has a city government is only because Congress allows them to have one to save them time from having to deal with the day to day affairs of the city.
The bottom line is that the federal government is in charge of Washington DC, not the Mayor and her city council who are merely there for convenience. Especially when shite gets real.
And POTUS is ultimately responsible for maintaining law and order in DC.

I don't think any of you realize what this would mean. 82nd is no joke, there will be a body count. It is a blunt instrument and doesn't discriminate.
